Mr. Cory, with all due respect you are the dumbest; which is what makes you so great! Thank you for all that I have learned from your channel 1. For example, I have a 90 gal. Platty tank it's a cool idea so I did it. keep it up!

At least you are perceptive enough to notice the irony. Some people go their whole lives without acknowledging any contradictions. I too had to stop making fun of the kiddos too for their entertainment choices. I didn't turn out too bad and my parents though all of my entertainment was garbage 😂😂

The co-op towel is a must in every fish room. It surprisngly soaks up a lot of water considering the size of the towel. Its mostly great for drying your hands, wiping your aquarium glass, etc.

Been doing 3 different 'one hour challenges' each day for the last month. Unexpected spawning has definitely been worth it though! Aquarium care is self-care, and a reminder to slow down and be fully present.
@Lazy_Fish_Keeper

As for the fish losses: After every move that includes a change in water sources, I have lost up to 10% of my established stock. I have had the fewest losses in this particular spawning, and I attribute the success to your recommendation to get snails in all tanks and to encourage algae growth to help keep the water clean. I noticed that you only lost fish in the tubs with zero algae. Maybe a little bit of new tank syndrome due to the move?

Cory, you and your amazing company is one of the biggest reasons my partner and I have have really gotten into the fish keeping hobby, and why our interest in fish keeping has expanded. My boyfriend watches at least 4 to 6 of your videos a day. He always looks to your videos for advice on our 6 tanks. He's especially getting more into breeding lately. We really appreciate you and all that your company provides people in the hobby. We absolutely love all your content, especially videos on your new fish room, seeing all your changes and updates, keep on posting!! 😁👍

I just love love LOVE this! It is exactly what I want to see. Yay! Having no fish (now), living in far far away, no job, and missing my beloved lurcher (Whippet /Border Collie) who passed away in november, I have been struggling with Covid (and now Postcovid)... I feel a bit sad and lost. But. Here I can tag along and hang out in your fishroom. I learn things, I feel welcome, the tone and rythm is (are?) both calming and uplifting, wholesome and curious. You all show respect for the animals, and for every single 11 year old guppy owner as well as nerms. You show open minds and strive for quality. Bravo! I hope you'll invite all of us in again to your Happy Hour of Fishy Business. / a fan in Sweden

I bred fish back in the '80's and got out. Not for good reasons. I decided that I wanted to breed fish again. I found you, and a bunch of other knowledgeable people here at KZbin. I've got 7 aquariums and have yet to buy any fish. I am so thankful for all that you do. I'm disabled, so I don't have much money, and almost everything I have is used, and most people were throwing away. All I can ask from you, is for you keep being you!

I spent an hour with my guppies this morning. I watch my Mutt Guppies and see what colors and patterns are showing up. I decide which crosses I'm going to set up next, which I do every 6 weeks now. Then I moved some males out of one tank and got a new male into that tank for another cross I was wanting to do. I can easily spend an hour a day just looking at my fish and thinking and planning, let alone any feeding and maintenance.

I can’t do an hour a day because I’m putting so much effort and time into other big goals like finishing my engineering degree, losing weight, finishing the work in my house, organizing and decluttering my house, and a couple other projects. I enjoyed the longer format so I could watch while doing my housework and I carved an entire brisket. Lol. I am now going to dedicate time weekly to repairing the 250 gallon tank. It’s a dream in my fish keeping to turn this into a large nano tank. So I’ll commit to 2 hours weekly with my current fish and this tank project. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Thank you for making the long format. Lots of great info and nice seeing the progress. I do have two ideas for you as far as a fun meetup. Have some sort of a contest or something were people can get the opportunity to help you for an afternoon in the fish room. I know there is a lot to consider with something like that, but speaking for my self spending a few hours helping you build and outfit the room while picking your brain would be an amazing experience. Second, many aquariums around the country are available for special events. It would be a blast to spend some time with you and other enthusiast looking at tanks way outside of the general hobby and talking to the staff on the similarities and differences in scale.

For fry in the tanks you could put a cylindrical tube type thing of plastic mesh small enough that only fry up to maybe 1cm can fit in and fill the inside of that with guppy grass so that fry will swim in and hide enticed in by the grass there but other fish cant fit in and it's all concealed neatly. Imagine it looking like a basketball net but just with smaller holes and standing in the tank, would also be good for shrimp so you could put shrimp in more tanks.

I wish I wasn’t on the opposite side of the states. That bin of guppies is amazing. They are my favorite 🤩

I like this long format. It has a very casual friendly vibe to it.

Two things: 1) fantastic colors on your mutt guppies and those amazing red platies, and 2) seeing how much you feed makes me think maybe all my fish are underfed!

I spent at least an hour just watching the little surprise cory babies I found while I was feeding this evening.

Loved this style of video! Felt like we were all there in the fish farm with you hanging out. Can’t wait to see more 🙂 Also, love Dean’s little floating goldfish plant. So neat. Would be cool in my barrel pond!
