I have standard white cloud mountain minnows. Not that I didn't want gold, but my LFS didn't have any. Anywho, I adore them. They can handle such a wide range of water parameters, have beautiful coloring and pattern, they're super peaceful and they do stay together generally so they're lovely to watch. I'd love to get some golds or the long finned variety. They really stand out against a planted tank. Definitely worth looking at, especially if you're more a beginner fish keeper, hard to go wrong with white clouds!

My pea puffers were really hard to convert to frozen. Be careful they might starve. They are also omnivores and there were plants found in their digestive track. My puffers sometimes eat a bit of java fern while snaching a small snail

Another nice video there. I need a recommendation on the nano fish tho.. From new, wanna build a 118 gallon fishtank landscape, having several mixed vareities of nano fish. Just wanted to ask. How important is the biological filtration for a non-planted aquarium? My filter has 2 types, biological with those ceramic tubes and mechanical, bottom sponge. The biological case cracked and i think the filter is losing pressure and doesn't work as good so I've left it just with the sponge and the venturi effect (Aquael Turbo 500). Thanks!

Bengal Ghost I keep a separate small snail & feed breeder tank for this very purpose. They're super cute but I'd not really recommend them as a beginner fish. for sure.

Nunnito Miguel , thanks really good. Tried frozen blood worms, mysis shrimps. No luck. Food has to be moving. This character finished off all the Malysian snails. I bought a trio and I tried fasting them hoping they'll relent. Lost two. Got the other in a ten gallon and I buy Black worms only because they last over three weeks where tubiflex worms go a week if you're lucky.

Hey Cory, my chili rasboras keep hiding in one corner behind plants and surfing the glass when the LED light is on. It has been 4 days since i got them. It's hard to see them out in the day, but I can see them out and about at night. Is this typical? How can I get them to be more active in the day time? The only other inhabitants are some endlers, otos and cherry shrimp. All very small. Thanks :)

Different species have different bioloads / requirements and different tanks can handle different bioloads so when people generalize what can or cant be done they are just parroting something they read or heard as opposed to speaking from personal experience or knowledge. Just keep doing what youre doing. a group of small rasboras is perfectly happy in a 6.2

I have been trying to get a hold of some Chili Rasboras but they always look sick at my LFS. When I had Pygmy Cories they all died from red blotch disease. Habrosus seem to be a bit hardier.

i’m pretty sure pea puffers are territorial with any fish that aren’t pea puffers, but i’ve never kept them so i’m not sure. i also wouldn’t suggest neon tetras in a 5 gal. neon tetras should generally be kept in a school of at least 5 neon tetras. you’ll want atleast 10 gallons for a tank of neons. best of luck to you and your scape!
