Aquashella is an aquarium trade show that shares elements of both art and music festivals. It is clear that Aquashella quickly has become a premier trade show for the fresh and saltwater aquarium industry. Did any of you guys attend the show and if so what did you think?

It was real cool, but there was mostly salt water fish and stuff for salt water then there was for fresh water. Besides that I would definitely go again!!

You shot some great footage, Than. I had a blast, and didn't see nearly enough during the two days. You are right about the address - I was confused myself when I tried to map my route to the venue - and I'm local. Several points in this video made me LOL, you're funny.

I think the address confusion was an isolated thing just for us youtubers because we didn't go through the regular ticket buying process and didn't get informational emails with the address. It did feel like a short trip. Hopefully next time I can come see your tank too.

Was there Saturday. Line was super long when I went in and all the way to the street when I left. Very very crowded, didnt expect to see so many people that early but was fun checking everything out. Saw a bunch of the youtubers recorded, pretty sure if I looked closer into the crowds I'll see myself about 3 or 4 times. Did so many circles buying acros. Hopefully the next one is at an even larger place. Had almost a mile hike to get to the door from parking spot

I drove 3.5 hours to Aquashella Dallas from Bossier City, La. I was beside myself with excitement. My wife was jazzed, we had taken out a second mortgage (kidding) so we could "plug some holes" in the corals and cichlids in our tanks. After getting a free case of road rage in the last mile to the venue, we got turned away at the parking lot. "Go away, we're full" (I kid you not). Ok, that's a parking lot attendant, but...DAMN! So, angry enough to eat apastias, I swear off Dallas, Aquashella and anybody closely related to the event. I was going to unsubscribe to every KZbin, Fascist Book and Instagram channel that had any command, control or sponsorship to the event. Dude, I can't explain how livid I was at the rudeness, traffic and shoddy planning (in my mind). My wife, bless her heart, suggested we beat feet to my favorite Dallas LFS and I took her up on it. We went to Fish Gallery and spent all the money we had budgeted for Aquashella there. I didn't get everything I had planned to (still searching for good ricordias and p. nyereri), but everything we got was in great shape. I even had a blast commiserating with the employees at the shop. (I used to own a pet shop, we traded stories.) I absolutely won't go to any downtown Dallas event, ever again. I probably won't go to Aquashella again, for the first time...or is it second? I was so stoked, too. Thanks for the calm assessment, Than. I've been to plenty of trade shows in the pet industry as a vender, shop owner, buyer, hobbyist and as a company rep. I was let down hard. Props to Fish Gallery for saving the day.

I found intriguing that you had a hard time finding the place. I get the misunderstanding with the hotel but it should have been easy after knowing it was on Fair Pair (from the ticket receipt). I bought the tickets probably a couple of weeks, maybe a month before the event and it said Grand Place, Fair Park, Dallas. I just use Google Maps and drive straight to it. Of course Google Maps point me to the building but the path was close because you cannot drive directly there. I just got to the nearest parking lot, there are many, and a security guard told me where to go (same building Google Map was pointing).

My situation was a bit of an anomaly. I wasn't a regular ticket buyer, and I wasn't a vendor so I didn't get the informational emails leading up to the event with the address etc. I was basically a guest of Fritz along with other youtubers so we weren't on any mailing lists and a few of us got confused.

I was there in the DFWMAS booth. Was there early both days, so definitely had a different experience with entry and was nice. The show was awesome. We signed up more members and got to talk to allot of freshwater peeps about saltwater. I think the combined show of fresh and salt is awesome. Just needs to be a bigger and better venue next year. I saw you from a distance occasionally from the booth but never got to catch up with you. Maybe next time!

Nice video. Have not been to this show but hope they rotate it closer to me so can get some coral candy a bit easier. Let's hope the bans get lifted. The hobby seems to be getting bigger just as the supply of corals is being limited.

You know I will say this... there is a show called Aquashella Aquarium Festival that unused to be the lead designer for... I am appalled and ended up quitting because I was lied to and slowly bullied out of a position... (by the two creators) after they used my artwork to promote themselves ... an entire 4K square foot installation you might even know it if you attended... but I am highly disgusted that they used my work without proper promotion of who actually did the work being “me” it made me extremely sad to see so many people excited about a show and them to even promote. Someone else’s name as if they created it which they didn’t. We even had a team of creatives help assemble and make other decor like Justin Credabel Grabel I made 100s of butterflies and even a 24ft galaxy mural for them and even hand carved there logo they use in their promotional videos. Just wow people wow. I have only shared this with my close personal friends but I feel I had to share this... @tonimartinart
