Just as a fun fact! I got a gimbal for my phone. It’s stabilization fights with my iPhone stabilization and since the iOS doesn’t allow for turning it of, the video comes out super jittery…. Still it looks better than the convulsions this camera man is going through. I’m actually a bit concern with that person…

Great looking boat, love the style, the grip as you mentioned, and now the but and it's a BIG ONE. £458,000 is about £200,000 overpriced for what it at most an overnighter or day boat. Even for an overnight stay that cabin looks a bit on the cramped side of tight. For that sort of dosh you can get a Beneteau Antares 8 for around £100,000 upwards with extras and that is a proper 4 berth weekender/week boat or a Bavaria SR36 4 berth boat for £100,000 less. Like I've mentioned, great looking boat but overpriced. Still each to our own opinion.

I guess dayboating in the US and dayboating in the UK are different. It feels like you didn't like it and did like it, but not really. In America this would be a boat you take out during the morning, hit the gulf or an island or a sandbar. Do some waters ports or fishing. Chill out and eat a good meal, then relax in the cabin for a bit and head back in at the end of the day. While you could sleep in the cabin, the purpose is more of a napping space to cool off during the brutality of the Florida sun. I understand most UK boats don't have AC on board and most American boats on the southern east coast and central areas likes Texas, these are great running around boats.

>>I understand most UK boats don't have AC on board All decent UK yachts have air con, and typically reverse air con so they can heat too. Smaller boats will just have a heater.

@@darthkek1953 that's what I thought. I wasn't sure what his attitude towards this boat was. It was all wishy washy and not his cup of tea maybe, or maybe he doesn't like they were made in China. It was praise and then derision. I thought maybe his idea of a dayboat was just radically different than ours and I have heard that argument before that in the UK the boats have heating and no AC. But every boat I worked on that came from the UK had both. Not that I am the expert in day boating at all. I was yacht crew so that's my wheelhouse. Always good to hear from you sir. You and I seem to be the most prevalent in the Yachtube world comments section.

@@darthkek1953 Hey, don't sell us short, we are SUPER MEGA fans. I would argue that in some respects, in terms of Yachttube, we are experts in that area. Lol. I'm just kidding. But when you look at the people that most often pop up in the comments of most Yachttube videos, who else besides us and Gerhard 'Lekker man lekker'? I'm sure there are a few, but we are the most known I would say. I know David, Nina, Nick, Victoria and Rico know who you are, as well as myself. We are the superfans of superyachts.

I had a good look at this at the Soton Boat Show. I like the concept and it’s well executed but the dollar-pound conversion and some of the styling aspects (who covers the very nice T-top supports with hideous ‘glazing’….? Er no one. I’d remove them immediately) will probably consign this to a left-field buyer. Dial the price back and this could well be the boat that doesn’t necessarily enthral going from A to B but is enjoyed and loved by all once you’ve actually got to B.

Is there an enclosure? I like the deck space, but, all days on the Great Lakes are not conducive to open decks, especially in the Spring and Fall.
@darthkek19532 жыл бұрын
Open boats are popular for obvious reasons in places like the Med or Florida; but sometimes surprisingly so even in temperate climates like the UK and perhaps on the Great Lakes. Personally I'd always want a coupé (shelter from inclement weather, aircon when too hot) but open boats are big sellers.

@@stephencook6427 Your only specific complaint is that it looks "so last year", in other words you use "Valley Girl" language, Valley Girl phrasing ("not a cup of coffee neither"), and Valley Girl punctuation. As to your kind suggestion I contact the designers of this yacht with your complaints, my industry contacts report they're making so much money from this boat - selling so many units - that they don't have time to register the grievances of the subeducated.
