Great to see you guys ,,today it’s been real windy and getting cooler out ,,we are greening up here in nc ,,I am still having eight to 12 deers in my turnip patch every night but looks like they will stop soon with the green up ,,supposed to get down to 27 tonight and that is the coolest temp for the foreseeable future.

Great drills, will try them. When it comes to 223 for self defense, what bullet do you recommend? I have seen ballistic gel shot with 55gr and the bullet just zips through and 77gr tumbling making a lot of damage, is the 556 nato 69gr a sweet spot?

Realistically any of them are effective, when getting out past 100 I believe the heavier bullets to be more effective. That being said any of them will poke holes, and whatever is hit won’t be happy. Be realistic on expectations though; it is an intermediate cartridge and not a full power like 308 and 30-06. “Nock down power” is not where the 5.56 excels. It is flat shooting, and easy to handle And those are its strong points 😎

@@lastminuteman Over penetration is something im worried about, maybe its better to use expanding bullets for short distance self defense.
