Hey I am building an AR app in Unreal 5.3, currently testing with an android device so running it through ARCore. The App works well and starts an ARsession with image tracking but when I pause or stop a session then try and start another again I receive a fatal Error through the ARSession Status and it doesnt work again. My only work around for this is to either restart the app or restart the current level the app is playing through, which is crappy to say the least. Checking online this seems to be a persistent bug through many versions of Unreal and I was wondering if there is a fix for this or a more elegant way of handling a restart of an AR Session?

Is there much difference in setup for Oculus 3?

@@johncarter1852 yes, because you'll need the meta plugin. It doesn't work with ARCore on Quest devices.

Can Microsoft Surface run AR programs? I Packaged exe, but when I run, after tap on Scan environment, nothing happened (Camera Allow to use on apps is enabled on windows)

Nope, only ARCore/ARKit supported devices are possibel.

How did you connect your phone to the unreal editor to test?

actually just set up android development, connect it via usb and set it to data transfer mode. charging only is not enought.

I skipped the initial UE5 setup, as this is already well described in their docs, but you'll need to do that beforehand!

Hi, good tutorial, until !0:30. Suddenly you put an unreal Pixel 8 pro phone emulator screen on the video, showing it working? Massive jump. Doesn't show us how to actually have the AR working on our phones. Waste of time. Thank you

It's not an emulator, it's a screen mirror of a real phone. And it's just the showcase of the tutorial to show what will be built. Make sure to waste your time pointing out things that are actually bad, otherwise it's a real waste of time 😘

Hehe, you just didn't listen ^^ It's only connecting it via USB, switch to data transfer mode and select it for deployment in the Unreal editor. Simple right? 😘

Hey man...nice video...i agree on this comment...u made a really cool video but the most difficult thing in ue5 is to export android package..i got like hundreds of error and dropped this idea...but watching this video gives me hope.. .it would be really great if you make a video showing hoe to connect ..how to export....how to install without usb cable... Thank you so much in advance....keep growing..keep making these cool videos..
