UPDATE: The issues have returned. Safety once again no longer works and the selector switch detent holes in the lower receiver are once again wearing away. I cannot recommend the CM.106 to anyone as these problems seem to be common. In both cases the lower receiver has only lasted around 2 months before the indexing holes in the receiver wore away. The safety issue might be resolved with a replacement V2 gearbox safety lever however the selector switch detent wearing away the lower receiver is not something that can be fixed. If you have the CM.106 I would recommend swapping the springs inside both selector switches to a weaker one as soon as possible to try and extend the life of the gun.

Very thorough review! I'm curious to see if your new lower receiver gives out again. Please update us if it does.

Got exactly the same problem with the selector, for some reasons the safe mode shoots semi-auto. I'm wondering if it can be fixed without replacing the selector plate as I can't seem to find it anywhere.
@Tetsu0_0Y6 ай бұрын
I think It might be possible to fix the safety issue by adding some thin washers or shims in between the receiver and selector gear on the left side. This would make it so a larger portion of the little nub would push against the selector plate and hopefully prevent the nub from jumping out of the slot in the selector plate. This was my plan to fix it before finding out that I was getting a new selector plate.

@@rangwood hi i am having the same problem, did it work?
@rangwood4 ай бұрын
@@JinceofVoy Haven't tried yet since the selector switch is starting to fall apart and I can't find replacement parts for it. I am using it as is, semi only. Occasionally for target shooting and most of the time it hangs on the walls, luckily I have other rifles so I'm not worried. It's a shame...if it was not for that issue, would be solid gun for the price.

hi im planning on taking apart mine as i am having the saferty not engaging issue. Is the upper and lower receiver taken apart with two push pins like a regualr ar?
@Tetsu0_0Y4 ай бұрын
The upper can be removed simply by pushing out the front push pin. The upper can then be slid forward and off of the lower receiver. If it binds up half way, try pulling the charging handle and then pressing the bolt release as you slide the upper off. If you are trying to get to the gearbox you will have to remove the motor from the grip, unscrew the grip, unscrew the pin in front of the selector switch, push the rear pin in the lower, remove the stock, pop out the small pin holding the bolt release lever, and then unscrew/remove the main AEG spring guide plug from the lower receiver. You should be able to pop out the gearbox once you do all of that.

What does the feeding ramp/ tube look like? And can you replace it if it breaks? I looking all over for one and can’t seem to find one
@Tetsu0_0Y5 ай бұрын
The feeding tube is sort of "S" shaped and made of metal. It looks strong enough and I don't think it would break. There are currently no replacements available to my knowledge.
