When I disassembled mine it didn't have any foam or tape around the MOSFET. I guess that one was already manipulated by someone. Also, I used an SHS 22,34mm nozzle for a SIG, and FPS went up very noticeably without any feeding problems.

I really like the top rail on that. I think it looks pretty cool. But I do agree that the stock isn't right.
@ivansmokovic6 ай бұрын
I read somewhere that the "hot glued sponge" you show is actually a thermal pad they added to help with cooling of the mosfet, transfering heat to the metal gearbox shell. This was done to help reduce the failure rate of the mosfet when firing in semi. Cyma was notorious for burned out mosfets.

That's a spongy material on the original etu is actually a thermal pad. Him basically what that does is contacts the gearbox shell which would cause it to act like a heatsink to dissipate heat.

That PDW stock is ugly as hell and you can't even collapse it very much to make the gun shorter because of how long that buffer tube is. I put B&T style stock on it, lots of fitting but worth it. Btw, what nozzle would you recommend for it? I'm upgrading mine, mainly just Warhead motor, Aster V3 and cylinder, but I've been wondering if it's worth it to change the nozzle while I'm at it.

I just put a perun in my umarex mp5k pretty sure it's a cyma gearbox but it does have the screw for the mosfet.i had to do alot of mods to fit zci internal bearing gears and that flat trigger didn't fit had to shave it down and the selector plate piece was a pain had to shave left from your location about 7mm to get it in full auto. Still full auto bursts around 3 or 4 shots and completely shuts off 🤔 any idea 💡 why it's doing this? I can't figure it out just completely lost right now.

On the topic of Cyma Platinums, my Cyma Platinum M4 piston makes a hissing sound when going into battery and it doesn’t even shoot air out. I have this odd feeling the rubber mushroom part of the piston head just gets suctioned into the back of the piston head.

@cunnyfred95622 жыл бұрын
That Cyma platinum comes with a spare spring. You could easily increase the fps by changing the spring, since this is a quick spring change system., instead of changing the cylinder and/or the barrel. Also, do you have extensive knowledge of the CYMA HIGH SPEED SERIES?
@kord20032 жыл бұрын
Changing the spring won't increase FPS that much. The nozzle is too short, you need at least 1 millimeter longer nozzle for better sealing.
@TraceurSoul2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, not really. Tried that on a platinum MP5. It only does around ~1.1j with a Guarder M110 spring when that should take it up to at least 1.4j. It does that because the inner barrel is very short. It's the same with Krytack. If you buy the krytack aeg that comes with 2 uppers you will get ~1j with the short upper and ~1.5j with the long upper without chaning any of the internals in the gearbox.
@cunnyfred95622 жыл бұрын
@@TraceurSoul I think the best option is to change the barrel. A stronger spring will put more strain on the motor and gearbox, so changing the spring will be my last option. Anyway, I think that manufacturers and retailers are deliberately keeping the fps down, because of UK power limits of 1.3 Joules (1 ft-lb) for full auto guns. Its all ridiculous. Gone are the days of full auto AEGs that shoot 450 fps out of the box.

the high speed mp5 series from cyma is phenomenal, or at least that’s what my experience is through my blissful ignorance. my mp5sd high speed performed great stock and even better with an aster v2. 34rps with an 11.1, incredible snappiness, shimming sounds perfect and i recorded a spread of about 6 inches at roughly 160-170 ft with .32s. the only issue i had was that the trigger return spring went out and i had to replace that. aside from that, no issues. a friend of mine has the standard mp5 variant (with the triangle handguard) and it’s similar in performance. i’d say they’re more than worth it.
@Famine_6662 жыл бұрын
i forgot to mention that the RPS ratings were recorded post Aster install. before, about 28rps with an 11.1 and 24 with a 9.6
