I was inspired by Arab dad, and bought this exact copy of The Hobbit with the insignia and leatherette cover. 📖 😊❤ Although I started to collect books as a child, and was a voracious reader till my early 20s, now I can only listen to someone else read. (My brain races too much, and only settles itself to auditory stimuli.) However, with this book, it could be different. The language takes me to a place I long for. Thank you to the person who submitted this book request, and thank you to Arab dad for reading it. ❤

We have what now? Never heard of it. I only used Uber eats for the first time a few months ago. Having maccas delivered was both the height of indulgence and extreme laziness at the same time.

@@NativeNiches Yes, Deliveroo - their logo is a kangaroo face. I would see their bicycles and blue backpacks whizzing around, and receive promotional coupons and stuff in the mailbox. I never ordered though. But haven't seen them lately, maybe they closed down.

Believe it or not, I've never been to McDonald's AU coz they don't have vegan options (unlike in some other countries), and I only recently learnt that Hungry Jacks is the AU name for Burger King!! 😂

@@seoul_searcher going to maccas in different countries is a bit eye opening. I was in Manila last year and their maccas has a rice dish. But their maccas also has heavily armed security guards as well 😳

@@NativeNiches That's right - same in Sri Lanka - the rice dish I mean, not the guards 😄 , although for a long time, seeing army personnel with machine guns was normalised by my brain when I lived in Sri Lanka - they were a common sight in shopping centres, places of worship, schools, sports events - anywhere the public gathered - coz there was often the threat of a suicide bomber attack.
