Within Temptation was my first major music crush. As a teenager. Even made a webside for them in a IT class. ( School project. It was not made "for them" ) Mother earth was a cd that is a big reason for the music direction my taste went in I am sure. Music is one of the biggest part of my life now. And I think Within Temptation is the building blocks everything is build on.

I saw and shot WT this (sorry last) year at M'era Luna Festival, where they were one of the two headliners. I've seen and shot them several times, but last! year, it was the best show ever by them with an incredible and extremely energetic Sharon den Adel. You can't get bad shots when you've got Sharon in front of your lenses. There is a full show recording with chapters of their show at Hellfest, which is as good.

After we talked about it in the last live session I downloaded the whole 3 season Gargoyles series. Brings back a lot of memories. I like the side projects Sharon has done. She did a song with the Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren called "in and out in love" and some years ago she was a contender on the Belgium version of "Beste Zangers" and every song she did was awesome but the best was "Just what I need tonight".

I binge watched the entire thing. It was such a good time. The story is really good. The season division is also weird, Season 1 and 2 are 13 episodes, season 2 is 52! I also read only they're going to produce a live-action remake of it. I CAN'T WAIT for that.

Well well well…. WT are great band… one of the first bands that got me into Symphonic Metal years ago… with time I got to like them less and less mainly because they got more mainstreamy and the voice on the albums of Sharon didn’t do me well (I know I’m in a minority here)…. Never really was eager to go a concert of them… until some friend convinced me… and man… Within 2 months saw Within 2 times… They are much much better on stage and the voice of Sharon is way better when you hear them live than in the album or KZbin video… So to conclude… They are great band that does better live and I recommend everyone to go to watch them… Keep it metal🤘🤘🤘

Nice reaction man, but, for this show, there is not an entire orchestra. There's just the band members and a couple of extra musicians. The ''orchestra'' that you are watching is only a visual projection, that it's a part of the show. In other songs, they change the images of that projection that looks ''ghostly''. Just a quote

For their 2016 tour, WT brought extra musicians playing strings and drums, but the orchestra was a huge wall of LED screens including a virtual choir. Remember that Mother Earth was taken from their album of the same name, originally published back in 2000, when WT had their bombast era which highlighted with their 2005 album "The Silent Force" and a fully-sized Russian symphony orchestra engaged for recording the tracks. Sharon never had singing lessons but taught herself, even more incredible the longer her career goes on and the better she gets, like a good wine. As for that, try some of their recent songs, e.g. "Trophy Hunter" (a highly underrated track from "Resist") or "Bleed out" from their last album (Bleed out, 2023).
