Oh I worked at an Arabian horse ranch the trainer whips the horses all over the place to keep them backing up backing up backing up and wants to come forward so now they're in high alert and then somebody mentioned don't shave their eyes well that's funny they shave everything on a horse like that even the feet I know all the tricks to the trade and that's why I quit working there I will not mention the forms name but they had rare stallions there from Poland and from Egypt this actually makes me sick to watch because it reminds me of bad memories

I'm sorry that was your experience but that is a rare exception to how most Arabian horse farms operate.

“A scared Arabian is a beautiful Arabian.” These horses look like they’re all on edge. There’s no natural beauty here like an Arab deserves.

Stop shaving their eyes and even their faces. Stop slatthering them with oil. Some looked decidedly worried that they were going to be hit with the whip. How can the judge tell if the horse moves correctly when the handler has them jumping all around? If the judges did their jobs and excused a few from the ring this would stop.
@MagnificentHorses2 жыл бұрын
If you don’t like the horses faces shaved or having the oil on them, that is certainly your prerogative. I’m guessing most people would think they don’t look as good without those enhancements, though.
@rotseri1 Жыл бұрын
Agree!! I find it amazing people see this as some sort of "enhancing" . Shaving eyelids and the oil?

The horses are fine . These Arabians are some of the finest and oldest bloodlines out there. They oil and cut they use is to show off their natural structure and is the same as showing any other animal like a dog , they use certain things to stand out. As far as the “whipping” it’s traditional to show Arabians this way. It spotlights their spirited nature , which is a much sought out character. Arabians are “hot blooded “ horses , they can be temperamental and sensitive. I’ve been to some of these horse breeders ranches around Scottsdale and these horse want for nothing. This is a few days of their life , they spend most of their time being pampered , getting the best feed and the best pasturing. Not to mention the best girls. My point is ; you’re much more bothered than these stallions .
@bevwinn1369 Жыл бұрын
@@Ambelica being traditional does not mean it is not abusive. What a silly proposition. The fact that some of the time they are not abused does not make the abuse acceptable.

@MagnificentHorses Жыл бұрын
@@Eeee-xl4xb I agree with everything in your last comment except I doubt that they get hit a lot, from what I have seen. So I do agree that it looks like they are under some stress for the short time they are being shown, but I don't think it comes close to rising to what I would term abuse. And I totally agree about the way they hold their heads up so high. It's strictly because the lead lines are constantly being yanked. The horses would look much better in a more natural head position. So all in all we agree on a lot and don't disagree on much. But the positive way these horses are pampered far outweighs the negative, in my opinion.

@@MagnificentHorses Many Arabian bloodlines have changed over the decades to a much more dished face , some very extreme . Also performance horses way of going . I'm friends w/ the 1981-82 IAHA president - his pics of his own horses that went top ten are very different .
@@cynthiajohnston424yes, classic Arabians and a nice dish are gorgeous! I don’t care for the extreme dish profile though.There are ones who are so extreme that their heads look like two faces merged together into one (the top and the bottom half). Others look like dwarf horse faces with Hoover noses on a gorgeous body.
@cynthiajohnston424 Жыл бұрын
@@JBRich1 Agree about the extreme faces & am concerned about resulting health issues . Years ago , the Arabians I showed were pure Polish w/ only slightly dished faces ; loved their sweet , calm personalities . ( I also showed Quarter Horses & that breed has also gone to some very unhealthy extremes in several disciplines . ) Sometimes change is not always for the best ... 🥰

Tails that drag on the floor look so silly… it’s not natural, and they resemble saddlebreds… trim those tails! Arabians do not have tails that drag all over the floor…urge..

@@MagnificentHorses I understand they can have long tails, but not so they drag a foot along the ground behind them.. these actually appear to be false tails.. either way, quite dangerous if the horse was to tread on its own tail...
