Hello Nadia, first of all thank you for the amazing video. I am an Arabic teacher based in the UK. I'm amazed at how simple, to the point and informative this video is. Could you possibly tell me how you made it because it doesn't look like the standard powerpoint slide. I'd love to teach my students in this vibrant and innovative way. Thank you.

Is the word for city - medina wrongly spelled at 7:10? I think insted of al-medina, it's written al-dina. Anyway helpful video. Thanks.

Hello Don, I am glad you found the video useful. Thanks for your feedback, but as for Madina it is just the font which makes the م look like a little protrusion on the ل. So all good :)

There is no mistake..it is how you will write it shortcutly..the م was at the end tip point of ل

Hey, I have a question about the conjugation for the past tense for أنتِ ,أنتَ ,أنا and هِيَ. You said that you do not need to say أنا because it's already clear, but with written Arabic with no vowels, the past tense conjugation for all four of these persons looks the same. Do you only not include أنا, and assume that أنا is the subject if not specified, or how do you tell who the subject is without prior knowledge? Thanks, and great video! !شكراً

***** generally it would be deduced from context. for example think of this English word: read. How do you know how to pronounce it when the present and past tense are spelt in the exact same way?

I know it is pretty late but I wanted to help anyway. So, the verb itself has particles to indicate to the doer of the action. So, in past tense for the verb "drink" would be: أنا شربت (sha-rib-tu) أنت شربت (sha-rib-ta) أنت شربت (sha-rib-ti) هى شربت (sha-ri-bat) Unfortunately I don't have تشكيل on my keyboard. But the first one has a Dhammah at the last letter. The second one has a FatHa. The third has a Kasra. And the last one has a Sukuun and a FatHa at the letter before the last letter. With that being said, every verb conjugation has its pronunciation. So if you deleted the pronoun you could know the subject from the verb. I hope this helped.
