I used to intentionally watch a new Angelina video alone...didn't want to have to make excuses for the tear or two that had leaked out and was working it's way down my cheek. Don't do that anymore...there are quite a few strangers out there who must have wondered why the Sissy Man was crying watching his phone. Not sure if you know that even though she is from Norway, Angelina has been referred to by many fans as a 'Persian Princess', for her maternal grandmother, renowned artist and poet Mery Zamini, is her- self Persian. She is extremely prodigious, as her granddaughter is, having recited her poetry on 'Radio Iran' when she was 4 years old.

And, as far as I know, her father Gerry Christian Slattman is totally Swedish and an ancestry examination of him would also show no Norwegian bloodlines. Angelina's mom and uncle are also Persian and Japanese, only having physically moved from Japan to Norway. My friend is married to an Iranian, who refer's to herself and others in her country as Persian. Everyone else is a mix of various, different heritages, just as Angelina is, so for you to think differently makes no sense. If Angelina partook in a interview where she was asked about her heritage, her answer would have to include Persian, Japanese, and Swedish, admitting that Norway was where her mother gave birth to her, while being of Persian and Japanese descent with Angelina's father being Swedish, but nothing in her ancestry having anything to do with being Norwegian.

Now that you are coming to the end of Level one for AJ. I am going to offer you a different rabbit hole. This is a prodigy story as well...3 Sisters from Monterey, Mexico. After their father gave them Video game "Rock Band" the girls fell in love with it and the middle child at ag 6 had propensity for playing the drums (she was 6) so they got her lesson, of course the older sister 8, wanted to learn her instrument (guitar)...5 years later a younger sister now 8 (a bass player) made a you tube video to upload for the grandparents who don't live near them. Well This upload a cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" went viral. They are now 23, 21 and 18 years old are touring with Muse. The are opening for Guns and Roses, in August. I am attaching the original link to get you going. These are three good girls (Now women) Rockers who play Rock we grew up with. The are humble and not proactive (No Tattoos). Like Angelina , They are signed by Republic Records. The pianist Rob Christie (music studio director of Republic Records distribution of UMG, two-time Grammy winner) changed the musical arrangement and Angelina changed the vocal arrangement, but she didn't change the lyrics. Angelina changes the lyrical structure starting with the bridge and gives the song a different meaning than Felton Jarvis or Mark James , Angelina version absolutely fits the lyric better. Once again, many people don't hear and understand the song until Angelina tells the story. 💯 *AJ* 💯👣 The producer Felton Jarvis from Elvis Presley cleverly covered this *Mark James song from 1968 in 1969* , Elvis' last #1 hit in the US and #7 of his most successful songs. Felton Jarvis took the original country arrangement completely from Mark James and pushed the song with more speed and additional instruments (wind instruments, violin etc.) and a spectacular backing choir (in the studio version).

Being moved to tears, experiencing chills, and getting lost in the music are so often reported by people reacting to Angelina's music that I always feel comforted that I'm not just an oddball. I listen to any of her songs -- any! -- and feel healed by the vocal tenderness and power and the subtlety of ornamentation, how it emphasizes syllables and words. I truly think she's a genius. I will add something about Angelina's "genius"...in western culture the word "genius" has applied more to technology than to art. As I have experienced Angelina's art, I would characterize her art as so intangible that it borders on the transcendent. For us mere mortals her arrangements appear unique, simple, "genius", but for me her "genius" begins with her real-time interpretation of lyrics and the emotional content as she sings the story...she just "knows" from moment to moment how to connect us to the lyrics in a way that cannot be explained with words...only emotions.

This was recorded to dust off the history of Elvis Presley ahead of the release of a documentary/movie in the middle of 2022. Tom Hanks played Elvis' manager, Dustin Butler, Elvis. Also this song and many pieces of this video commemorate the 1968 Elvis Comeback Concert that was televised. That red guitar, while not the actual same guitar, same make and model, is one that Elvis barrowed from one of his band members that night because it matched his outfit. The hair an homage to Priscilla. Again you see why Angelina is incomparable! She covers songs and makes them her own. Each special and sensational. Tears are allowed and expected. The baby and young child are Angelina's cousins, Angelina's manager and agent, Uncle Michael Astar's daughters. The other young lady is Juliette, Angelina's younger sister. Tlhis set is an antique furniture store in LA used for several takes of different songs. "Suspicious Minds" was done first and then after a wardrobe change, she sang Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing." Rob Christie, Head of Studio Productions for Republic Records is accompanying on the piano here on "Suspicious Minds," as he has done often with Angelina. He is a Grammy winner himself. She wears the boots onto the set but sings barefoot as always. She is a gift to us all. After more than 200 covers and a few originals, I have no doubt she is the finest female vocalist to ever live. No one has ever had the combination of talents that this young lady possesses.

Welcome to the world of Angelina Jordan. Yes, you have watched several videos, but this reaction is why I watch Angelina every day. I grew up listening to Elvis sing this, but I never really heard the words until Angelina sang it. That is the case with many of her covers. Her cover of Adele's "All I Ask" brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. For some reason it reaches deep inside me and just does something that I can't explain. I had never heard Adele's original before listening to Angelina's version, so I decide I needed to. I didn't get half way through it. It just seemed "bland". Keep reacting to Angelina and I'll keep watching. I loved watching your face during this video. This to me, was a true "reaction".

She sings as if Heaven flows through her. The voices of those past seem to just reverberate through her, and she sings with such joy, love and passion that you feel it in your heart. It lifts the sole. In medieval literature where they talk about the Bards of old it was known as the "Halo Effect" when a singer can elicit such emotion it's like standing within the halo of an angel. Awesome reaction and I watched Alan's Pod Cast, Wrapped in a warm blanket, it's all about Angelina. In one episode they Interviewed a Doctor who said he actually prescribes listening to Angelina Jordan to improve their health. He can't explain it, but gas documented proof, it improved their health, God Bless!

Angelina often plays the piano when she’s singing at home. She plays the guitar on several of her shorts. You are not along on the flowing tears when she sings. I encourage you to listen to the original pop song “Stay” by Rihanna which will be on your last cuts of the current list or in the upcoming advanced list. It add an EXTRA nuance to your experience when you her Angelina’s cover. You will feel the tribute she gives the original artist, and you will still feel like AJ’s version is the truest one. Stay was a #1 billboard pop song, Grammy nominated and hit the 1billion views mark, but AJ fans know where the most memorable version resides.

Angelina draws you in so you are waiting in anticipation for the next word, the next syllable to come out of her mouth. Suddenly the lyrics that you had heard thousands of times before seem fresh and you realize that you are feeling the lyrics with a new depth. The piano and the video production are also wonderful on this song. Very well thought out. The camera shots through the mirrors....how the piano starts playing right as Angelina pulls the cloth off the piano.... wonderful.

Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Angelina’s sister Juliet sitting there, she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day. Elvis' version is great, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own. When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 83 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched. Her phrasing in the last bridge is great. And she got Elvis’s ‘Oh Yea’ at the end of the song. The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammys), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers. The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister.
