I think it’s not just in Colombia, but generally, Latinos are very welcoming. We embrace those who are like us and those who are different. Both Arabs and Latinos are very family, food and tradition oriented so it’s extremely easy for us to get along.

LV skinny So you’re implying Latinas are easy to get? Lol. Okayyyy, I guess that’s your opinion. Either way, nowhere in my comment did I mention women, I was talking about what was discussed in the video, Colombians embracing everyone and making them feel at home.

@LV skinny thats a very racist, sexist and misogynistic thing to say. arabs make up more than 300 million people and we come in all types of personalities and shouldnt be homogenised or stereotyped. stop stereotyping millions of latinos and arabs, especially women. your input is not helpful and reinforces harmful stereotypes. be quiet

The funny thing is that all the Iraqis this guy interviewed belong to the same family. Hussam, the guy he interviews in 0:14, is married to Riyaam, the girl in 0:20, and Malak, the girl in 0:44, is Riyaam's younger sister. Actually I know this because that family made it to the news three years ago when they arrived in Colombia by mistake after some people smugglers told them that they were going to take them to the USA in a ship but they left them in Buenaventura, Colombia. The family ended up moving to Bogota, and were granted a refugee status. A year later, Hussam flew to Colombia to be with his wife and he also got the refugee status under the family reunification program. I am happy to see them all in this video and see that they are doing well!

Yep, lots of Arabs here in Colombia and we have a good opinion of them, they have a good reputation as traders and usually become wealthy in a few years. I have a first cousin who is literally called Yussuf Maloff whose grandfather was Lebanese. Most are of Lebanese and Syrian descent and came here because they were christian opressed by the Ottoman Turks. So far we have no problem with the new Sunni Arabs that are arriving lately, people here like Arab food and are quick to forget about religion as long as you give us a bit of that tasty falafel and kibbeh ;)

someone told me Andalusia came from the Andes mountains. He said there were 3 Indias - East Indies (Mogul empire), West Indies (Islamic Mayyan Morrocoan America) and the Barbary Coast/Mediterranean/Arabian Felix Ottoman Russian Horde. This is a worldwide empire that was alive just a little over 100 years ago. Andalusia was in northern parts of South America (as seen in 1587 Urbano Monte 10 ft map) Also called Atlantis in southwest America, Mexico, and northern South America. Atlan = Andalusia. they were Arabic and Persian speakers who were Muslims living in the Americas. They had the Kingdom of Granata located in Utah/Mexico region. Esfahan is the root word for Espania which becomes anglicized as Spain. Also Umayyad dynasty is the Mayan dynasty. Which is from the root word Mayra “land with water” which is the root word for Madrid / Mayrit. This is also the root word for Mauritania and Morocco. Scaligarian historians took Spain didnt colonize america in 1492 (this is a lie by Jesuit scaligarian history). They came in 1755 and helped divide the Americas (1776 US independence, 1787 peace and friendship treaty with Morocco - Muslim name signed it). There’s a lot more, but I got to go. Here’s Cherokee Indian saying Americas had set international law for hundreds of years before European invasion in 1700s. ISLAM IN AMERICA CHEROKEE MUSLIMS tinypic.host/i/DbhpA tinypic.host/i/DbNMQ

Latinos originally are inherently from Spain and Portugal. The Arabs lived and governed Spain and Portugal for over 800 years. This is why Latinos look like Arabs because they inherently (going back generations) are Arab. A lot of Spanish words come from the Arabic language. Even the word Portugal comes from the Arab world Burtugal (orange) as it used to be the place where the Arabs used to harvest Oranges and export it to almost the entire Arabian Peninsula.
