Aragorn kept the eye distracted off of Frodo and the ring. For Aragorn's host, and for Frodo and Sam, these were moments of great bravery. The ring was kept by the meek and the small, not by some great warrior. "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." the Bible, Proverbs 16:18 NIV

It’s amazing how Tolkien’s story highlights the power of humility. Aragorn’s bold move took Sauron’s focus away so Frodo and Sam could keep going. It shows that sometimes the greatest victories come from those least expected to carry such a heavy burden-just like that proverb suggests, too much pride can lead to your downfall. if you like, please subscribe, thx for comment.
