Exactly. Statistically we can now tell women are more miserable now, and sexism has been going down since the 50's, so we know its not the cause. If both women and men work, there is double the labour offer, and the same amount of demand (because jobs didnt suddently double in the same timeframe). By the laws of the market, it means everyone is paid half as much, and things end up costing twice, proportionally. It means now everyone in a nuclear family HAS to work to survive, all while also needing to pay for someone to take care of house and kids, which means that two people working cant even afford to have a family like they used to cause they have to work twice as much with MORE costs than before.
