LOL Literally same. I HATE The Notebook and movies like that because it's always about cheating instead of just people coming together naturally. But for some reason the two times it happens in the Musketeers I'm like ... "This is okay". Mostly cause in the 1600s most women had no choice and were forced into marriages with older men while they were super young. There was rarely love and they weren't treated well at all. I also stand by the head canon that Bonacieux was gay... You got a girl like Constance in your life and you'd rather make CLOTHES? Yeah. okay.

The king needed someone like Edmond Dantes to guide him. The count of Monte Crito is inspired by the Odyssey, including Alexandre Dumas read Homer (Dumas A., Mes Mémoires, Paris, Bouquins, 2003, p. 590.). Edmond was strict with Mercedes and demanded fidelity and therefore refused to give her a second chance as Ulysses would do if Penelope was unfaithful, in addition to being vindictive and suspicious. Ulysses enters the palace in disguise to verify the loyalty of everyone there. A classic that inspires another classic and shows how he deals with cheaters and unfaithful women. After all, Ulysses hangs his slaves who had an affair with the suitors and Edmond refuses to offer Mercedes a second chance.

Aramis sleeping with the Queen could get him, her and Dauphin executed if it had ever been exposed. And their enemy knowing that (a man who was actively seeking to hold leverage over the Queen and curry favour with the King) is not a position they wanted to be in. Additionally, if it were exposed that the Dauphin was not the Kings son, that would reflect poorly in the King and France, as the child expected to be the future King of France was not the rightful heir to the throne.
@dontaejones74193 жыл бұрын
Also it reflects badly on the Musketeers as a whole.
Lol yes I'm sure they'd be happy for him if they weren't all at risk of being brutally tortured and executed by the king alongside the douphan and queen. On top of that France itself would be at risk when supposed weakness is exposed in the crown, it's hard to conceive how Aramis could have screwed up more
@colinraiders58368 ай бұрын
Congratulations for what? backstabbing the person who trusts you and for whom the whole musketeery system begun and exist. Is it for that?
@KingBluebonnet Жыл бұрын
The writing of this show seems like those hospital dramas. Yeah in reality no Queen would risk that. I don't know much about this show but a queen is watched so heavily there would be no opportunity and if she's caught or a King even suspects there's a lot of death going around especially hers. And I don't know what the King in this show looks like but if she thought there was any chance the kid would come out looking different she would have gotten rid of it as soon as she started showing.
