I wish you had started your motor because it would have been a bit faster, that actally took 1m 18 seconds which is Awesome, but I think your inflator chuck is leaking because the two I have don't hiss like yours is doing in the video so there is a good chance that your system would do it even faster, Nice system, and that's one heck of a Jeep, thanks for posting it. Hi there. Motor was running, but I was using a clock on my video editor so it could be off. My chuck may have been leaking. Good ear !

Good video. I’m about to do the same thing with my rig. I’m planning on putting the tank under the Jeep where the muffler use to be. I also have my ARB twin under the seat but I don’t have the ARB Manifold. I was wondering why not just put the solenoids into ports in the air tank, (it has 6 ports) and run lines to lockers from there. What are your thoughts on this plan?
@mra19766 жыл бұрын
I guess my only thoughts on that would be the wire management to each solenoid. Typically the wire harness isn't very long for each solenoid connection so that may may be a limiting factor. However, Extending the wire looms may not be that difficult if it doesn't introduce to much impedance. But I like the idea since its so tight under the seat !

DId you need any type of pressure switch with relay on the tank? I'm doing the same setup and the installer thinks I need a relay to stop the compressor when the tank is full.
@geeepin98078 жыл бұрын
Hey there, you wont need a pressure relay on the ARB Twin. The ARB has one already built in. With a stock ARB twin it has a little manifold it will fill up quick and auto shut off when you fill it. Adding a tank with the twin just increases the volume it will hold. I think the twin even says it shuts off at 130 PSI. Let me see if I can find that info too.

Pressure switch controlled air manifold system regulates pressure between 9.3Bar [135PSI] and 10.3Bar [150PSI] suited to air tools and all ARB Air Locker equipped vehicles. www.arbusa.com/uploads/pdf/newproductadvice/ckmta12_retail.pdf

Also, you'll see at the end of my video it just turns off at 152 psi. Hope this helps

How did you wire your air zenith specifically to your compressor rocker switch on your spod? What color of wires went where?

Ill see if I can find the wire diagram I shared with my Jeep club

I'm air stupid so question? What does the rank do if you compressor kicks on right away anyway?
@mra19766 жыл бұрын
It adds more volume to your system in general. So the tank will hold 2.5 gallons of air at 150 PSI vs a couple ounces of air in the hoses and manifold. Now, for some air tools and smaller tires this lower volume of air isn't an issue. But due to the large size of my tires I've opted for more stored volume. Example: with my tires in this video, Just the ARB twin aired up one tire in 2 minutes and 55 seconds. After I added the tank, It filled up the fire in 1 minute 22 seconds. That was a 35x12.50X15 @ 12 PSI ~ 32PSI. Also, I can run my ARB air lockers all day long and only turn on the compressor once to fill up the storage. Theres a number of reasons to ad more storage but it just depends on the individuals applications.

@@mra1976 is the tank only good for the first tire? Then is it pointless after that? I have 37s and air down to 20 but fill back up to tow at 60psi once the tank emptys on first tire is is worthless? N making the compressor work harder now to fill tank and remaining tires?
@geeepin98075 жыл бұрын
erik arroyo Hey Eric, for your specific application think of the tank as a reservoir. As you walk from each tire it will replenish its volume. If you are filling each tire after wheeling to 60 psi you may consider waiting till you get home to fill to 60 since your CFM will diminish drastically after 30 psi.

@@geeepin9807 the airing down is to pull the toy hauler into the sand and not get stuck. Then pull it out onto the road and air up when it's time to head back home

erik arroyo ahhhh gotcha. Yeah I was thinking you were rock crawling. Yeah, since your going to be airing up so high I’m not sure the tank would give you much benefit. My video is more geared towards rock crawling and I use the tank for my air lockers as well.
