Setting the player camera to Low selects the lord automatically after the fight making "backspacing" way easier. Also gaining over 80 winds of magic through combat trials stance gives extra 4% move. Thx for the video

I really wish they would do away with the trait cap, I know there's a mod that does just that but it should be base game IMO

Just a few pointers after playing for a few hours: 1) Beware of revolts spawning due to constant sacking. If you have better military buildings, the revolt will have better units and may overwhelm your lords on the sack cities. 2) Archaon may come down from the North and try to occupy one of your sack cities. I'm sure other lords will attempt this too.

Great tips! That is exactly what happens for me too. I have done two runs now, both times Astragoth took one of the sack cities around turn 7-8ish? But by that time you don't need them any more. I traded Karag Vlag plus some cash to get the minor settlement back plus Vassalise Astragoth (making my south pretty much safe). Then you can combine your forces on the ogre sack city. Definitely do be aware of rebels - you should be able to have a half stack of chaos warriors or more and 4 Lords and if you have been running the Blood Host Boon for a while you might also have a couple of blood hosts there. But if you cannot handle it, just cap the settlement for yourself when you are ready and Arbaal is able to maintain the boons by himself. Once you swich out the boons that give bonus favour the sack cities are only worth 1 favour per turn so are not really needed then.

I was super hyped when I saw a challenge was right next to a very damaged Sigvald, really solidified the way this is meant to be played in my head. I haven't invested in bloodhosts or boons or a single extra army at all though, I'll keep it in mind for the next run.

I don't know how people feel about using the save character system but you could theoretically use a generic lord (say the new bloodspeaker with the scaled skin trait) and use Arbaal's teleport system to get the best traits without any accidental crap ones adding to the cap by saving and dismissing the lord each time after defeating the each enemy. Make a super powerful lord you could bring into any khorne campaign.

I think skulltaker takes the cake for being the most broken overpowered faction in the game for me.. When you have him in end game, teleport to enemy lord, kill him and gain a free bloodhost. I only made it to the donut in my campaign to slaughter the elven lords living in peace. Ended up with exactly 21 bloodhosts without having a single skull spent.

Arbaal can start teleporting to Lords for a free bloodhost starting form turn 5. By turn 20 I had like 30+ armies all over the map. So, IDK, all the new Lords are sort of stupidly OP, except Gorbad. They are all pretty fun though.

@@MercytheMad I havent tried Arbaal yet, but thanks to your video I will have a strategy! :D Yea Gorbad definitely is not stupidly OP. Lost my first campaign with him. Did not even make it to turn 13. xD Golgfag is fun but fairly slow early game I think. He's the first ogre faction I play as. Is scarbrand different with the new update?

No shot. Its really arbitrary what mechanics AI factions use, but there is no way that players would be happy with arbaal and the skulltaker both warping in out of nowhere and destroying one of their armies or strongest generals/ destroying cities. Every campaign would need to devote two armies to sailing to lustria and the chaos wastes immediately before even expanding out of the home province, lol.

I still don't understand how tf you ppl play khorne to have so many blood hosts by turn 20. I usually have around as much territory by turn 80 and have half as much blood hosts. In order to have so many of them, you theoretically need to win with no losses almost every single battle, but how tf do u do this with melee faction? Even if i do perfect micro, surrounding and all that shit, units die in melee no matter what. 2 CHALLENGE BATTLES PER TURN???? More like 1 battle per 5 turns. And what do you mean by turn 3? I'm getting ready for the easiest challenge battle as early as i can afford to build a full stack of warriors. ???????
