Yes these are great plants - I have one I planted a couple years ago & it’s becoming quite a nice size. It gets a bit of morning sun & does appreciate a drink during dry times. One of my favorite plants. Thanks for talking about it Jim!

I am looking for plants like this for areas under large deciduous trees along with hellebores. Love the texture!

I've had them for over 10 years & just adore them. Planted to intersperse with a variegated Hosta in my blue square ceramic pot is probably my favorite. Occasionally, I get some white variegation which I've been told is unstable. I love the color change in the winter too. It's a nice texture to mix with any other shade plant. Highly recommended in my north of Atlanta home.

I picked one up last year and have it in a concrete container. I really love the way it looks and may pick up more this spring. Is this something that could be divided?

Wish I could grow some of these more southern ferns like this one or holly fern, etc that don't take over everything when there happy. Almost all northern ferns ostrich, lady, madenhair, etc they all want to completely take over an area when there happy or when there not they will just sit there and not ever do much or look great, really no imbetween for them
