ARC flywheel VS Slipstream on a 212 Ghost
Installed a Slipstream billet flywheel on the 212 Ghost-powered Azusa minibike and did some 0 to 30 and top speed runs. Swapped out the flywheel for an ARC billet flywheel and did the same test to see if there was any performance difference.

Been waiting since you told me about this video. Another great video as always. I bought the slipstream a couple months ago and it almost felt like I lost a little power vs the stock flywheel at lower rpm. My testing isn't as scientific as yours so maybe it was all in my head too. Thanks again.

It might sound silly but I would love to see a video of you doing a tear down on a predator engine and explain in detail about what purpose the part has and what it does. It would be great for people first getting into these types of hobbies and you are great with working the camera and great at explaining. For example I cannot figure out how a flywheel key changes timing. Thanks

I think it rotates the flywheel forward, which rotates the magnets forward, which makes it activate the coil at a different time, therefore advancing timing.

I bet if you ran a thinner head gasket and ran it on methanol there would be a lil difference with the timing. Probably pretty close still thou. Both good flywheels I suppose

Hey Black. Ive ran into a problem. I have the adjustable Arc flywheel for non hemi engine.. Is there a starting cup that will fit this now? The stock one doesnt fit since the flywheel is adjustable one ugh. Any leads or websites I can order a starter cup and asswmbly that would fit ? Tia!

I installed an arc 6619 flywheel on my ghost with stock coil and lost all power then realized the it’s timed different that my stock one, so I cut another key way and that worked , but worried that it won’t work with with no limit .

does yours pull back on the starter rope hard when you try to start it I gapped mine same to 60 but sometimes it pulls back ?

Maybe make sure the valve lash settings are good so the compression release is totally functional.

@dcustomsIt depends on the cam but generally .003 exhaust and intake. The ARC coil gap should be a minimum of .030 but many run between .040 - .060

Hey I just got a massing mb200 with a predator and jackshaft setup and it seems the clutch to the first sprocket is the only thing that moves when giving it gas it doesn’t spin the back wheel? Do you think it may be the jackshaft baring or mabey something wrong that I did ? I’m not sure how to fix I was thinking of just going with a straight chain and performance clutch give me some words of wisdom please 🙏

No, they won't work with a charging coil.

Mine runs fine with stock flywheel and gov removal but just to be safe don’t hold it at high rpm’s for a long time

So my ghost 212 IS a hemi but I would use the NON hemi flywheel?

Yes, you can use a Billet Flywheels… 6619, 6689, 6602 and a standard predator coil because the ghost The timing key is cut at a different location because the rev limiting coil has a much different trigger point than the regular Predator or Clone coils do. The Ghost rev limiting coil will not work . In order to use an ARC billet flywheel on the Ghost 212cc engine you will need to change to a standard Predator, Clone or Honda coil
