Released in December 14th of 1985, Finalizer: Super Transformation is a vertically scrolling shooter where you pilot a jet that can be upgraded into a Gundam style mecha who can wield a protective shield. Along it's journey, the Finalizer can obtain power ups that upgrade its projectile attacks and can even provide the temporary ability to pause the enemies or even allow for the player to physically plow through enemies for a few seconds. As for the story, it goes like this: In the year 2050, humanity was faced with the greatest crisis. The latest defense system, Odes-30, was out of control, and war was declared against humanity. However, the Earth Federation Forces, who were in a desperate situation, made a concerted effort to complete the variable armor system "Finalizer" that had been under development within the Polar Plates.

Another great Konami game off the list!

Yeah, I agree, but this isn't Galactic Warriors.

I used to own the PCB of this. Konami put Scattershot into his own game... And a year before Scattershot was created, no less.

The game looks interesting and it's another Konami Classic. Now I hope Parodius Da can come to the Arcade Archives but they have to change some melodies because not all symphonies are in the public domain. Also that Parodius Portable for PSP changed some melodies in the games, just like Sonic Origins did with some of the levels of Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

I cant wait for Parodius to come to the arcade one day

They’ll no doubt censor it the same way they censored Frisky Tom. So much for faithful reproduction of classic games.

@@illustreightr2630The problem with the Parodius games is they use copyrighted music throughout the series. Hamster definitely has to tweek quite a few licensed tunes in those games just like they did with Frogger and Rainbow Islands.
I hope they do final blow, which is a Taito boxing game

Or even Super World Court, which is another Namco NA-1 arcade released in 1992, and a sequel to Pro Tennis: World Court, which happened to appear on modern consoles.
