This is one of the best songs ever recorded. I love this band.

Beast of a tune. They have many great ones, but my favourite is The Suburbs - really good associated music video and a wonderful cover done by Father John Misty

James Murphy from LCD Soundsytem produced / remixed this song . in my top 10

You guys should react to LCD Soundsystem -- their frontman, James Murphy, produced this record. They have a lot of great songs -- Losing My Edge, Daft Punk is Playing at My House, Dance Yourself Clean, I Can Change, North American Scum. (Now that I mention it, you should listen to Daft Punk, especially Digital Love and the Random Access Memories Album.) This album is a bit influenced by Haitian dance music (Regine, the female singer, is originally from Haiti) and James Murphy (who in turn is influenced by 80s groups like New Order, Can, etc.); the band dressed up in black and white carnival sort of attire when they toured. Their first album, Funeral, is one of the most acclaimed albums of the 21st century. Their 3rd album, The Suburbs, was a surprise winner of the Best Album Grammy one year, and there was a meme about mainstream people angry that an indie band won the big prize. Their last two albums have moved into more of dance/electronic direction; their most recent album wasn't a hit with the critics.

Love this. Not that familiar with Arcade Fire's music so thank you for introducing them to me. Please, please can I request Radiohead's 'Paranoid Android', their 1997 live performance on the Jools Holland Show? It's probably one of their best live performances (and that's saying something!)
@abenemon11813 жыл бұрын
I've heard "Paranoid Android" described as the 21st century Bohemian Rhapsody -- not because the style is in any way like Queen, but because it's a song that goes through multiple switch-ups before it gets to the end.

If you have the time I'd definitely recommend watching their full concert at Madison Square Garden in 2010? I think? It's what got me into them in the first place! So good!

To me this song is about the internet/social media and how it just guides you into rabbit holes that are just a reflection of your own beliefs and prejudices in order to keep your attention to serve you adverts. It turns out it was just a reflektor; I thought we found the real connector; were still connected but are we friends?; and now were just staring at a screen; will I see you on the other side?
