You do realize you did not have to lay it on its side and take every screw. All you had to do is remove the top two screws and pull and you would have been able to pull the Marquee out with the speaker panel attached. I know I've done Marquis mods on three of my arcade1up. And that's how it was every time the Marquis is extremely easy to get out even with the wooden dolls and speaker panel attached

How hard is it to open the stock marquee? I'm thinking 9f turning the light around backwards or inserting red and blue filters to dim the light and relocate flush with edge.

Do you know if I can put this lit marquee in a tempest cab without a lit marquee or will it not work without the plugs for the old lit marquee if that makes any sense😅?

Yeah, the image stretching is kind of rough... I did the same thing with mine but I created a custom image in Photoshop that removed that speaker element from the marquee but I did some cropping and I also removed the Tempest and Atari logos and placed them back in after I stretched it so it didn't look quite as severe. Hard to explain, but you're better off submitting custom images instead of leaving it up to the third party marquee folks to supply them on your own. I'd be happy to send you mine if you're interested!

I’d remove the Arcade Game Factory translite and cover that with a Szabo’s Arcade snap on marquee.

Thanks for doing this. I've got this marquee on the way. Went with the "fake" speaker grill version, to maintain the authenticity of the real cabinet. I'm thinking the light leak might illuminate the Atari logo, and control panel, without putting glair on the monitor. I'll just have to see when it's done. I can always apply a gap filler if I don't want the light leak. Just waiting for the waterfall panel to become available to complete the transformation. :)

@@CombatandCollecting Just got my marquee installed. I had a little bit of light leaking, but it actually lights the Atari logo, nicely, and does not affect the screen. Mine is the one with the fake speaker grill. It looks beautiful, compared to the old one. Also found the install instructions at their site. Didn't specify for Tempest, but it's applicable. The steps you took are exactly the ones outlined in their instructions. I think we were lucky the factory used a soft wood based product which allows wood screws to go into it easily.

Wow. Thanks for this. I had no idea how to install. I guess barrel locks or dowel holes were just too much for Arcade Game Factory? Last marquee I buy from them.

I bought 2 of their light-up marquees. Got a scratched translite on one. They said they’d send a replacement. Gave me a tracking number but says only the tracking number was created never shipped. Said it must have got lost in the mail and would send out another. Never got it. I’ll gladly pay more from Szabo’s from now on even if it is a 3 month wait.

Is a trackball for this available with the correct pinout yet? I have this cab myself and I am already considering a compatible trackball, though I heard this one's pinout is unconventonal than other cabs that have trackballs. I would LOVE to get one that lights up if there is one available
