You know I got a good idea maybe Namco should make a reboot of this game with a better story than just running around knocking out the cast and à limited amount of levels unlike this one the story can be mappy being the first mouse police you heard of a police dog but not a police mouse and the main villain is a crime boss that is not that red cat and Mappy will have a whole franchise oh and girl friend that is a lady mouse who he will end up as his wife and be made the official mascot of Namco.

Someone at Disney Interactive must've LOVED Mappy, because there was a Mappy clone in the Toy Story 2 Activity Center called "Toy Shelf Showdown". Although, they kind of combined the doors and collectables into a single item that dropped vertically instead of attacking horizontally, which could crush enemies like in Dig-Dug, while the projectile attack was Buzz's wrist laser, which would immobilize enemies for a few seconds.

So did I Kitty -- just FYI I have this game on my home PC. That green coin you mentioned is the invincible ghost named "Gosenzo" -- he is the ancestor of "Nyamco", i.e. the big red cat. Gosenzo appears when you take too long to clear a level -- and once he appears, Mappy has NO CHANCE of escaping, because he can go through doors and microwaves (naturally) and he is MUCH FASTER than Mappy -- he can kill Mappy even if he's bouncing on a trampoline.

I'm only 13 yet I'm pretty good at this (in my opinion) but only because I've played it most my life. I never knew that it was SOO old until the other day, still amazing

I remember getting my 1st plug n play. AHH the good old days. It stopped working and I still had it for a while.

Ah yes, the Pac-Man looking controller that you had to plug in 80 times for it to work. I might find it and play it, amply was always my favorite.

I’d never heard of this game until a car in ridge racer was called “pink mappy” 🐁
