ah, the memories i have of playing this game when i was a kid. the local video rental store had a couple of great arcade games at the back:SF Championship Edition, Golden Axe, Xmen...i put so many quarters into thos games, but nothing robbed a 14 year old kid of his pocket money like this game! i was determined to beat it. it was a lot of fun with a pal. and so loud!

The Round Table Pizza right next to the apartments I lived in as a child had this game in their arcade. I remember on two separate occasions pumping in all 20 quarters of the 5 dollar bill my dad gave me to play and only being able to reach stage 12 or 13.. This game was a money pit.

Goodness me that was amazingly done. Looking back on some of the boss fights I have no idea why I didn't approach it the way you did. :D Some questions though, not sure if anyone here is familiar with the mechanics but do enemies take more damage from Kagerow when she hits with her sword? Also, what is that spirit thing when fighting the last boss? I remember it constantly damaging me or pushing me over the edge. How did you avoid that?

This is probably one of the worst beat 'em ups ever. It goes from being way too easy to being probably the most unfair and brutal games ever made. Your "Life" meter doesn't matter in the slightest (you usually die in one hit), the combat is absolutely grating and doesn't involve any real effort (just mash the attack button and hope you win), and the stages go on for FAR too long.

Seriously dude? Not taking even one hit while wading through waves of enemies in this game that is specifically designed to make you take hits and die inevitably? Unholy reflexes, really. The only times you lost a life is when the timer ran out (thanks to the developers who made this game that way - after all, the possibility of avoiding death in a standard 90's arcade game was too much to ask for, right?). And you took on the 4th level boss with Gembu?!! Never saw that coming.

The score makes it feel like the game is an absolute joke. Most games have over 1000 points at the start. Having 4827 points as a high score sounds sad. It's kind of a shame that the score alone makes the game look hard as is. I thought someone rage quit the game!
