This game brings back so many memories. I grew up in the early 2000s in an inner-city Mexican/black neighborhood and there was a laundromat that had this arcade machine and it was extremely popular on the local block. Even though the 98 tournament had long passed (this was 2002-04) this game was popular and you can tell, it was fun, colorful, and many popular players were replicated. This game was popular with Mexicans in the USA and popular in Mexico too. No coincidence because Mexico was one of the best teams in the game. The game's version of Luis Hernandez, Garcia Aspe, and Cau Blanco were a god-tier attacking side, and Campos was one of the best GKs in the game. I've beaten this game multiple times since on MAME, mostly with Mexico and Hernandez is one of the best damn strikers in this game. It is definitely a challenge, a step-up for anyone who is used to FIFA/PES. Still a MUST PLAY.

@@Bajso84 These are for the most part the same sound effects they had in Super Sidekicks. Also 98 was a year with some pretty stiff competition for video game sound, it was in the prime of the PS1 era with it's CD audio and the cartridge based consoles were really showing their age.

What's the difference between "Fix" and "Automatic" CPU difficulty? Just started playing, I love this. Defending is perhaps a bit too easy even on CPU level 8, but still. Also, what's with the "Power-Up Mode" menu after selecting a team, and if I choose the default ("Full Team-Power Up"), does that mean the same as having all the choices below it? Can't find any guides for this game online.
