@@jcharmaine1 , et al, according to the lore of the game, the Pookas, Fygars, and such were actually being garden pests for Mr. Horii and, being a space farmer, he's just like any other farmer and he's not going to tolerate pests going after his crops, so, yeah, he's got to have food, as well as have a living, and to also make a living for other people as well, thus the Pookas, Fygars, and such all have got to go.

You just made me feel very old. I was 14 when I first played this in the arcades in 1982. I also had it on my psp and I have it on my ps4 now. I have got to level 51,but after over 40 years of it I should be good. I still think it is one of the greatest arcade games. It is certainly in my top 20 all time favourites. I am pleased to see other generations enjoying it as much as I do.

Considering how good he is, he did get sloppy at the end there. For the longest time he was able to minimize the enemies on his tail with either lucky or strategic route planning

First time I played this game was back in the 1980s at Cedar Point in Ohio. It was in a building in the center of the campground for campers and trailers. It was either in 1983 or 84 or possibly 1982 when the game was first released. The cabinet was basically brand new.

I only played this game a couple of times in the 80's. I much preferred Mr Do! over Dig Dug because you got to pick cherries, use big apples instead of rocks, got to use your power ball instead of an air pump, and got an extra life by defeating Alphamonsters with a single letter that eventually spells EXTRA.
