Hey Laramie, thanks! Guys, Laramie's the one who designed the lit button kit, so if you're interested head to his etsy page (link above in the description).

I really like the buttons and the plexiglass mods. That is really a nice shelf there and it does suck that they forgot to put plexiglass on it. The love the effect that the lights give to the control panel though. Great video John!!!

Thanks Bill! The plexigalls (which I had left over from another build) isn't expensive to add, but it is a pain in the butt (in as much as you'd have to go to Lowes to buy the plexi). A1up probably should have included a pre-cut piece at this price, b/c you will def set something down on it.

How did ou secure that plexi in place? Thanks in Advance

The seat and bass shaker are my favorite mods. I also put a PC in my OutRun, but for some reason Outrun is still my favorite game among the 30 others lol

Those mods really add to the unit. Love the buttons and how cleans it looks.

Hey, I enjoyed this video. I bought a leather bar stool with back for 40 dollars on marketplace- removed the stand, and then attached it to the bench by drilling holes. Have you checked out Kongs-R-Us riser? His design is interesting because it incorporates the original bottom plate, and then you can use the original bottom screw holes on the cabinet to secure it to the stand for stability. It allows you to put the pedals at the back of the cabinet or have them at the front depending on players needs. Keep up good work!

Oh yeah - Love Kong! What I do like about using a portable seat is that it makes it easy to remove, and easy to move the chair (which is decently heavy/weirdly shaped). But yeah, I'm looking at racing seats....

I just bought a full motion sit down version of this game for twice the price. I know it's not practical for most people but the resale down the road is worth the cost.

Thank goodness there's a plentiful supply of full motion Outrun cabs at just twice the price of an Arcade1up cabinet. Makes you wonder why anyone buys these? 🤦
@bonesjackson813 жыл бұрын
I still need to do the bass shaker. Game changer? I just added battery powered self adhesive led strips to go over both seat side panels.
@evilgeniusentertainment3 жыл бұрын
Bones - maybe not a game changer, but it does make it a far more arcade-like experience. I'd say it's def worth the effort (which is pretty minimal) and the money (around $38).

Hows the mini puck bass shaker? I installes the larger $45 shaker under the bench and wonder if it's overkill? I also installed two of the mini puck shakers behind the steering wheel. Agaun i think it might be overkill but fun. Haha. However if the shaker you have under yout bench feels strong im thinking of switching the larger one.
@evilgeniusentertainment3 жыл бұрын
Oh I think the mini is plenty strong enough for this purpose. These older arcade games don't necessarily lend themselves to a lot of lower end sound, but with a mini it works out fine. Also, I'm cheap!
@timclark84902 жыл бұрын
@@evilgeniusentertainment Which shaker did you install...The 8 Ohm or 16 Ohm / I just bought 2. Thanks

Nice work man- So the seat is basically just a cushion that sits on top of the factory bench, unsecured ? Or do you have something stabilizing it down to the bench?
@evilgeniusentertainment3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Nick! It just sits on top of the seat. Works fine!

@evilgeniusentertainment yes , and they look good -- but they did charge you a bit much. There are cheaper solutions for quality LED's on Amazon. Please dont mistake my words...I love your vid, especially the riser you built, which is what brought me here as I am looking for ideas for that. How did you fasten the cab to your riser?
@evilgeniusentertainment Жыл бұрын
No worries Yankee, thanks for watching. Usually I just have the cab sit on the riser - works good for T2 b/c there's little need for physical contact with the machine. Otherwise, I just use dry wall screws!
