Those people were probably born in the 80s and think Street Fighter II is the peak of arcades. I never heard any song called Street Fighter Fever. Cabaret and cocktail cabinets are some of my favorites because those are what you'd only see at restaurants and bars.

I bought this and took the pcb out and put it in my gen1 Pac-Man. I have my Defender Partycade pcb in it now with a Gorf control deck. I still need to have a Gorf marquee made.

I have the older 8 game Pac-Man Plus, and I personally really like the look of the light up J-panel.

I love the look of this cabinet. It's really a hit. That said, the bezel, control panel and PCB are straight from the Bandai Legacy cabinet, so just basically a cabaret version of that cabinet (which I have and really like). Interested to see what you do with it.

Hey PDubs - glad you picked up this cab at a great discount. The wood grain look is great, reminds me of the old school Pac Man cabinets at my local bowling alley back in the day. The tilt of the monitor is fantastic as well. All that's missing is a dirty ash tray and cigar burns in the wood finish, ha!

Great video PDubs! I like the wood-grain look and simplistic artwork choice on the sides. It's a shame about the marquee, you would think they would have the manufacturing process down pat by now. Game selection is good, from what I see here, it seems worth what you paid for it. Looking forward to your modding video!

Cabaret? Oh man, it's adorable! I got my first video game "achievement" (eating all four ghosts with one energizer) on a cabaret Pac-Man back in the early 1980s.

I got it at Sam's, modded it to 60 in 1 changed buttons joystick, 3 1/2 speakers and grille coin buttons lit up and use for credit love this and the slant on the screen helps with visual

I picked this cab up over the summer from Sam’s for $249. Overall I am very happy with it. I liked the different design and was holding off on getting a Pac-Man cab until something caught my eye could stand out. No complaints from my side. I think the games play great!

I think if you're new to 1up or don't have a Pacman cab, this is a pretty sweet little cab! Solid 7.5/10 cab. I think if this cab came out 3 years ago, people woulda been gushing over it.

I love that cab! Sucks that the marquee and J panel don't look so great, but I still want that cabinet, if I can find it at Sams, even though my other cabs have all those games. LOL It's the shape, and wood grain that's the draw for me. And it sports the cabaret graphics, albeit slightly truncated, here, and there. It's gorgeous.

1up gets a lot of hate from retro purists and experienced diyers, but you nailed it. If the price of these is about the cost of all the parts, or even just the cabinet and finishing, who cares what screen, controls and game computer they put in there. If the price is that low, it's a great finished cabinet to use as a start point for mods and upgrades

This format will be great as an inexpensive donor but overall this is a pretty subpar offering. I'd love to see someone like Anthony Vitale either produce flat pack kits or work with an existing manufacturer like GWS to provide good quality cabinets that resemble the originals rather than taking the Arcade1up approach and putting their own spin on them.

Question... is this cabinet the current Legacy height, or is it the old height (3" shorter, or so)? Either way, I'd have killed for this one at $180. Nice find, Pdubs! I had a light-up J panel on my Ms. Pac-Man (HSN version) and decided to remove it. It was super washed out and not at all authentic, just like this one.

Hi Don - Nice Mod Idea - to be transparent and honest with you - the cost of this Mod Project versus the $25 I would make off the KZbin Video and hours spent is just not worth it to me - hopefully you can find someone willing to do all this but my time for KZbin has greatly shortened this year as my Personal Life is so busy at the moment and I have 5 other projects I am months behind on.
