Awesome video. You made this mod seem so easy. I’m clueless when it comes to setting up retropie wouldn’t even know where to start or get rom. Only thing setting me back from trying this out. Should make a video on that.

I'd normally be one to hate on vertical video but hey, it made it easy for me to watch on one side of the screen without sacrificing much screen space for browsing, so there's that, I guess.

Do you need to add games in the retro pi or does it come with games already installed in the circuit board , if so about how many games does it come with it ? Do you need a pc to install games or to do any configurations ? Or can you do configurations like settings on the arcade screen ?

Are you using a cell phone for recording the video? Turn it 90 degrees to make a wide screen video. Narrow screen video are hard to view.

Does it matter which cabinet you buy? I was thinking about getting the rampage one will that one work for this?

Probably better to go with the street fighter 2 cab as it has a six button layout for player 1 & 2. You can add coin buttons by drilling two 24mm or 30mm holes to add the buttons to a Rasberry Pi where you can have a crap load of games including Rampage.

Should of Cut out a hard plastic for the board. And had it made special to go over the joysticks and buttons. So it wont fade. That's what i did

@@TheComedy1990 Usually because carpet generates a lot of static electricity. If you watch Paul's Hardware and Bitwit, they have a section where they do this thing called Pimp My PC, and they accost people for putting their systems on carpet. But again, if you didn't have any issues, good on you. :)

I just finished my arcade unit. Your video was helpful. Quick question though. I cant figure out how to set dreamcast controllers on my street fighter arcade cabinet. When i go into config it doesn't recognize my buttons and sticks. Do you know how i can fix this?

I noticed you had issues doing special moves with the second player joystick. Are they working properly?

Andres Martorell the first player is working fine, but like you mentioned, the 2nd player joystick gave me trouble when trying the special moves and jumping.

If you just want to replace buttons and joystick can u use with original board? Do they have a kit with the concave buttons instead

Mario Pirchala you would still have to get the USB encoders so the buttons and joysticks can connect to the Raspberry Pi.

what emulators are you using because the default ones for Rasberry Pi 3+ are crap. None of my MAME, NeoGeo, Sega CD, Turbo CD work!

Budgie Cat you probably got the wrong rom versions. You need to have Mame 0.78 roms to work on the Raspberry Pi 3. Just google and search what rom versions for each emulator works on the Pi 3.

I have a lcd / hdmi control board with the right model number that I'm trying to hook up to the arcade 1up screen but for some reason all I get is blurry dim screen that looks horrible when hooked up through hdmi. Does any body how I can fix this please help!

Topless Stang I have no idea lol. Just take the original screw from the 1up board to Lowe’s or Home Depot and get the screw & bolt all in one. You don’t need a specific size screw, any small screw should work.

Stephen Costa the wire for the button is too short, I just reach my hand behind the cabinet to turn it on. I’ll get another button with a longer wire and I’ll drill a hole on the side of the cabinet.

Yo. Can you help. My LCD controller board is just showing a white screen with the lines going up and down. This is the second time I’ve ordered an LCD controller and it seems like it’s defective. Prince Malcolm sounds like your lcd screen might have gone bad? Have you tried plugging everything back to stock to see if the LCD screen is bad?

RonRetroGaming I’m going to try that but it’s such a hassle because I plugged everything out. I just bought this on Black Friday. There’s no way it should go bad this quickly.

Prince Malcolm just plug the lcd screen to the stock board and just plug in the first player buttons & power button and see if it’ll come on. If it’s still white after that, contact Arcade1up and they will send you a lcd monitor for free.

Hey bro so I connected everything back and found out that the screen was cracked at the bottom it was very minimal you could barely see it. So I Contacted ARCADE1UP but They change their business hours and aren’t open on the weekend. So the next solution was to call Walmart to see if they would swap just the LCD screen from the boxes but they told me that I would have to break down the whole cabinet and bring it back to the store. So that’s what I did. I got a fresh one. Hopefully second time‘s a charm. Thanks for your help again

Although it was lesser quality, ETA doesn't own the rights to this mod or anything so he's not in the wrong. Just should of put more effort into it is all.
