As the name of the protagonist was Claude Speed a lot of people thought that Claude from Grand Theft Auto III is this Claude only. GTA San Andreas had the best story. When you think about it, gta 4 is basically: “CYKA BLYAT I WANNA KILL YOU TRAITORS TO THE MOTHERLAND” (I know he’s not Russian but the point stands.) Cj, on the other hand, has a quite realistic story. His mom is killed, so he returns, where a corrupt police force (really possible) blames the problem on him, a black guy. He sees the gang grove street has broken up and goes and fixes it. You could tell he had real passion. Niko did too, but it’s a bit difficult to relate to a Slovakian from an unknown war. A normal guy who just happened to grow up in the wrong neighbourhood? 100% plausible. So that’s why Cj> NIKO. P.S: Roman is still the best comedic side character after big smoke

actually no GTA storyline cannon is separated into two different sections of which all GTA except for 4, 4's dlc, and 5 all take place in (INCLUDING Chinatown Wars, All the "Stories" games, GTA1-3, and VC/SA) Section SD: All GTA games before 2008 except Chinatown Wars Section HD: everything after 2008 (Gta 4, The Lost And The Damned, Gay Tony, and GTAV) everything in Section SD happened in its own universal cannon with each having their own take on the world as a whole with the same themes while everything in Section HD happens in a single coherent world with each character living in the same cannon unlike in SD.

Anouar Zian I still played and beat it/all the DLC, but holy fuck was 4 annoying. The forced super hero shit was dumb, and they got rid of the more realistic melee executions then scrapped grenades and environmental vaulting all together. Shit was so dumb imo. SR3 was my favorite for gameplay, but SR2 was my favorite for story. Regardless of how I feel about SR4 though, it was still enjoyable af and filled a lot of story gaps.
