I think their features are identical. 🤔 Beyond that ACE Studio's payment system is Subscription Based whereas VOCALOID is perpetual (One Time Payment). One more thing VOCALOID provides ARA2 support which is very handy and easy to use in a single workspace within a ARA2 supported DAW.

@eafortson - I'm the same as you. Been producing music in some form or fashion for almost 40 years (mostly for a hobby but every now and again for money) and the last 5 of those have been nothing short of jaw dropping. This is an awesome use of AI - it doesn't feel like the AI is doing ALL the work and I'm free to be creative with sculpting the vocals exactly as I want without having to deal with a vocalist. This would be great for reference tracks to provide to an artist or any producer who needs a vocalist but doesn't have time or money for one. Oh and Come with me if you want to live is from Arnold Schwarzenegger in his role as the Terminator.

Outright purchase prices keep software like this out of the reach of low income users. Subscription fees allow some of us to use the product for a couple of months at a time for a reasonable price. You are right, but not as you might expect. This makes generic vocals and lyrics irrelevant quickly. We are going back to when music was about telling stories, touching humans and provoking all kinds of emotions. Typically, in modern dance and electronic music, these emotions are triggered by melody, sound design and such. But I'd love for music to become less "something that is playing while you nod your head or dance" and more "something you actually LISTEN to"! The whole AI thing is very capable of producing something that humans perceive as natural and fitting, but falls apart really quickly when you bisect it (and actually listen). Not even the robotic voice (because that could also be a design choice, much like the over-usage of autotune these days). But more because there is no 'life' there.
@KebabKisu5 ай бұрын
@@travelan Yes I agree with you on this. The biggest change for music industry with this is the fact that people can most likely use this in the future to fake their own voice and pretend to be something that they aren't. There's alot of new and young producers who won't be able to blow up with their music because it used to be pretty difficult to get an singer for your songs. Now they got a whole new way to make unique vocals, samples, hooks etc that used to be expensive and hard to get If they themselves doesn't have the skills. I appreciate the comment this is big thing for the future music making and i'm looking to see how far the AI will take us.

This pushed him to create music extremely fast, so that he could export them to mp3 within one session, when he finally did get the full version he had mastered the software to a high level by then

I had to give my cc info yesterday to find this out the hard way it's like all the other misleading subscriptions. I'm canceling. The youtube vids make it look awesome, but, dont all salesmen misrepresent the ease of use of their products? Custom voice will run you an extra 600 bucks just FYI if you get excited...it doesn't come with the yearly subscription. You can't type in midi notes. File names are unsupported. The free instruments downloads won't run on my 64 bit windows 10. Hours I will never get back. I'm about to turn on my tascam and lay down some tracks. I got all excited for nothing. By the way , the contact phone number for to ace studio is conveniently out of order and no longer valid.

This is absolutely amazing, and I can see other applications replicating this functionality sooner or later. However I think it's a shame that the company is only selling it on a subscription basis, for a lot of people they will not have bottomless pit of money to throw at all the audio software that they really want, which kind of leaves it to the more 'professional' users who may purchase the application. Hopefully at some point you will change your pricing model to sell it at a fixed price so a lot more people can afford this, because at some point, other companies will soon be doing this too.

It's soooo gooood ! Too bad, it's a subscription and not just a sell. 22 dollars by month multiplied by X years represents a lot of money. I only make music as a hobby for me and me alone. So I don't need to pay as a "pro". And in addition, the day the company and the software no longer exist, you only have your eyes to cry. Sell it, I'll buy it. Rent it, keep it. Edit: To top it all off, the payment system (assuming I'm interested) is clearly made for the US, not for the EU (France in my case). So, even if I wanted it, it doesn't work. As for testing, you can just place an audio file and wait for any result. We are a long way from being able to try the software. In short, the idea is excellent, everything else is to be thrown away. Bye.
