considering the standard release version isnt that much cheaper. Esp on the aftermarket. And considering you have to tear it apart to paint it, which is quite a hassle/issue provided you might break something or cause irreperable damage in the process. The premium finish looking this good is worth the extra cost imo.

Notice the white band on the Chest plate is wider than the original release, another nice touch from Arcadia. I wanted this one but it was waaaay out of my price range. Congrats to those who bought one.

7:56 Just went back and checked the heel lights in the OVA. The green lights were on the lateral, furthest out sides of the lower rear calves, and the red lights were on the medial or inner sides. Ep.2 Shin in Training with Roy in GERWALK mode. Ep.2 Edgar bunked out in the hammock beneath GERWALK. Ep.3 Shin in GERWALK on the beach getting scolded by Sara for Mao getting hurt.

So interestingly enough, im rewatching zero for the first time in a while, and i just happened to watch your review earlier today! Of course that means im watching closely to every scene with the VF-0D, and as you noted about the red paint apps on the underside of the vertical stabilizers being changed, it seems in the OVA itself the red switches sides from scene to scene/episode to episode! Thought that was interesting enough to share! Love the reviews, wish I could collect like you do, just not in the cards for me funds-wise. Keep up the work!

Something that strikes me about Macross VF battroids is how closely the rear thighs come to the wings. These things probably couldn't walk, much less run. The legs would destroy the wings. And this VF-0D demonstrates this problem to the greatest extent because its wings are such huge obstacles.

Depends on the design. A lot of the chronologically later battroids have the wings give the legs more than enough clearance to move.

You're going to be limited to secondary market sellers - ebay, mandarake if you're comfortable ordering from overseas, etc. Availability's limited and prices are brutal though.
