Tom, how does Pets expansion scales when usin it in AQ vanilla? Doesnt it makes the game a lot easier?

I'm so excited about this one. Arcadia Quest is my favourite game. This is a must buy for me! I was thinking about the theming and you're right Tom, the mechanics aren't groundbreaking, but the 'pets' theme works well. If they were little idols or something that you could move around (same mechanics, different theme), then it wouldn't be close to the appeal of this game.

Just wondering if someone could clarify something for me? When attacking a wild pet, if defeated & captured, do you have to select the wild pet you attacked? Or can you you select any of the wild pets & remove the rest as they would “run away”? Hopefully I got my point across & didn’t confuse anyone! TIA!!

I'm looking for a Top Ten list for Games for animal lovers, Tom!My 11y.o. daughter is becoming quite the lil gamer.She really loves Zooleretto and Fauna and was seriously pestering me to buy Dungeon Petz because she knows what a fan I am of Vlaada (plus you get to clean poop!). SHe had me KickStart the Dogs game. But unfortunately, I've had to suffer through Goat Wars - arrrgghhhhh.Help us single dads with daughters out, Tom! I wonder if this game would be in your Top Ten list of Animal Games???

Barnaby + Rawr can me a nasty combo. If you position right, you'll end up with more attack dice and your opponent having less. Evil (and of course I took advantage of it every chance I could).

Mine arrived yesterday, Thursday, in MN; Inferno, Pets, and all the Dragons. There was no shipping notification sent to me nor was the pledge page updated until this morning, the day after arrival.

so is this a "normal" expansion? Or is it some kickstarter exklusive kind of thingy? I rlly like the look of the game and so on, but i dont know if i should buy it. As a collector it feels not really nice to miss on so many exklusive stuff which i never can get

As far as I know, these guys have made a point of NOT reviewing the Kickstarter exclusives. They might mention some of the stuff offhandedly, but it's usually along the lines of whether or not the game itself feels like a complete experience without all the content that was locked behind said kickstarter.

This game is absolute trash in my books. Only fun thing is the drafting/shopping phase once you finally finish the game. Everything else is a convoluted dice feast and this expansion like Tom mentions is nothing more than making the heros stronger while having to move stupid pets over the board. Really don't get why this is so high on people's lists but yeah to each his own :)
