I really like that you do product comparisons in the description. That is incredibly helpful.

It scoops so well in your video. I got a very-very dry product..

Hey there Micheal! I'm actually confused between the Arcadian matte paste and Crafted matte paste. I know crafted has slightly more hold but I'm not sure which one is overall better. So what's your suggestion on that?
@phongbach72486 жыл бұрын
I just got this recently. I found this somewhat similar to the FS Dead Sea Clay with a smoother feeling.

Are you applying to damp hair in the video?i see it has some shine
@SpruceSharp6 жыл бұрын
Lil James.-. Towel dried hair, and I am under ~4 Lights so it can make any product look a touch shinier than it actually is.
@SpruceSharp6 жыл бұрын
I also wouldn’t say it has shine. If anything more of a natural finish in the hair.

from your comparisons Northern lights seems like a better try. you mentioned in your northern lights review, you suggested using this product on dry hair. but on the northern lights direction label it says also can be used on towel dried hair..thanks

Aprolifix Blue go with dry hair. Personal experience says dry hair. I’ve done both with Northern Lights but dry hair gives best results every time.
@aprolifix6 жыл бұрын
thanks for the advice but for me, using a product on just dry hair doesn't even come close to the control and styling I get from using product then blow drying on slightly damp hair. keep up the great reviews
@SpruceSharp6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the support. Yeah, I normally don't like styling with dry hair either. However, this product was the one exception for me. Different preferences for different people, though.

@@SpruceSharp I noticed that me and you have the exact same hair type. Mine isn't thin but it isnt too thick. And It's wavy/curly naturally. I may start posting reviews soon. I have tons of homebrewed pomades and clays and a decent collection so far haha. What's your fave Clay atm?

And it is fantastic for fine hair. Seriously I live it, and all their skincare stuff is amazing too.

Hey nice review as always! This and the O’douds matte paste are my faves! However, would be nice to go into (if you haven’t already) how clays, themselves, differ from one another. To each their own in finding out-but to the serious clay users who know clays, there’s your dryer waxy/tacky clays, which i prefer. Then there’s your clays that break down on the greasy side. So reviews help when trying new clays in that aspect, as some clays will work and other not so much for certain styles. Would you agree?

I am not really interested in making a video like that especially since Modern Man TV did such a great job with the clay catalog series back in the day. There are so many videos out there already that me making one would probably be just repeating thoughts of others. Unfortunately, a byproduct of the specialty Men’s grooming world is that you have to try a lot of products most times before you find a product type that works for you. I just review them individually and let people know my thoughts. My content is more for people with some degree of familiarity, not necessarily the introductory user.

Spruce & Sharpe dang my bad sir. I now see what i was looking for was in your description box all along. Very nice...you have the best reviews with that! Very useful, as i like to compare and contrast various clays/pastes within my catered range; light with dry or sticky tack, but it can’t be to oily. Which is odd because i’ve built a better pomp with stiffer oil based products like Dax, Tancho Stick(really nice!!), Pompking OG, Lucky Franc’s Heavy.., than say oilier clays like Baxter’s, Seattle Grooming, Rudy’s, Kingpin Barber to name a few. BUT , using arcadian matte paste right now, BOMB!!!

Similar to odoud matte paste... low hold. It’s a little easier to apply than odouds. Wish I never bought it
@LongDongSilver785 жыл бұрын
Csal43 Odd you say light hold. Their matte paste is one of the few where my hair was exactly the same at the end of the day, as it was before going to work..not re-combed even once. I usually restyle regardless but forgot my comb that day being the reason i remember. This one legit too though..courage clay is another good one👌
