Vince Sr. had Bruno Sammartino blackballed before he became WWWF champion for missing a event, Bruno always said, he was never scheduled to appear on that card....only place he could work was Toronto
@servantoftwilight29515 жыл бұрын
@Nich Hodge I disagree. Sammartino had given his notice to Capitol Wrestling and was leaving for California. Vince booked him in Chicago, which was supposed to be his final match there, and then also booked him in Baltimore without saying anything. After that Sammartino couldn't work in the United States without paying the fine so Sammartino went back to Pittsburgh and worked construction. It was then that he went up to Toronto and worked for Tunney. It was in Toronto that Sammartino wrestled Thesz. Sammartino became super popular while the WWWF was struggling after leaving the NWA so Vince Sr paid his fine and the rest is history. Sammartino was so grateful to Tunney that he still wrestled for him once a month even while WWWF champion.

I heard Bruiser Brody was blackballed from the WWF for a locker room rift with Gorilla Monsoon around 1976.
@markg.10785 жыл бұрын
I heard that Bruiser Brody//Frank Goodish could not get work in more than one territory. I'm pretty sure that his last stop (before Puerto Rico) was in Dallas Texas under the WCCW. Fritz Von Erich let him work, when nobody else would let him work and didn't want him around. My understanding is that he was very, very difficult to do business with or the work with. He wouldn't think twice about screwing a match up if things didn't go his way. You don't need somebody around who's going to do that.
@TuMalditaMadre5 жыл бұрын
@@markg.1078 when you have options you can do whatever you want. If America didn't have anything for him there was always All Japan. He was all about business. If it made business sense, Brody would do it. But again, if you've got options and you can draw everywhere you go you're doing things your way.

Also, Bruiser Brody pushed a kid in a wheelchair over on its side. Ric Flair talks about it as he saw it happen. He said he couldn't believe his eyes. Brody didn't look back because he didn't want to break character. But Al Snow speaks very highly of Brody so it depends on who is talking.

Who wins in a strait up middle of the ring technical wrestling match: Arn Anderson or Brett Hart ....................go , please tell me that this match happened , and where to find it if it did
@monstermaes96106 жыл бұрын
Bj Logwood Arn Anderson would isolate a body part, hit the gut buster, spine buster, rear chin lock, a couple suplexes, Bret would take over with that crappy sit out clothesline, atomic drop, back breaker, side Russian leg sweep, elbow from the second rope, the figure 4 around the ring post, then slap on the sharpshooter, Arn wound tap. Just my take Arn was never ashamed to put somebody over even though most wrestlers couldn’t legitimately out wrestle him. I think he’s the greatest worker of all time. Bret always bored me.
@brey41905 жыл бұрын
Hey by bret Hart is one t climax Brett is two ts
@GaryBowen005 жыл бұрын
Arn would lose most matches but would look spectacular while doing it. Bret would put him over in a major way when he did win. Arn of course would be the heel and Bret the baby face. They would do good business together and remember one fact about Arn Anderson. He's the only man to ever pin both Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. Everyone respected "The Enforcer", everyone wanted to work with him, and he never gave a damn about the world title. If that surgeon wouldn't have botched his neck surgery he would have wrestled Bret eventually.

The Super World of Sports walkout is the rumor and it makes sense, because it forced Baba to retool at a time when he had already lost a great deal of available talent thanks to relations souring with Jim Crockett.
