Vi regretted what she did to Powder and wanted to go back to her, save her... and this dude says "oh no, you can't do it, it's your fault", like bruh. Literally was going to comment the same thing. Vi is also a child and all her friends were just killed by her little sister of course she will feel emotional and conflicted. They portrayed her emotions perfectly. She needed to cool off. Then she did and tried to go back to Powder but Silco was already there. Vi's reaction was normal for anyone in that situation.. he also didnt seem to understand what powder was going through when left alone. I kinda cringe hearing him speak. Maybe he is an okay reactor and just didnt get this show at all but all the other reactors here seem to get it.

The amount of people who entirely forget that Vi was a child when all this happened too =/ shes allowed to react as a child would to be upset and angry, it was powders fault, wether anyone likes it or not she got them killed and Vi reacted with only that in mind. Even most full on adults after seeing their family obliterated in front of them after near perfect success would be upset and furious that THE ONY PERSON they knew would cause trouble or even get themselves killed, DIDNT LISTEN.

Recall what Vander told Vi in the episode before. Vi was the one who led them into a hopeless fight. Whether Vander was free or the hole Clagger made actually led outside, without Powder they'd all be dead. Silco still had plenty goons and even more shimmer. Plus, let's not forget who taught Powder to be like this. Sure I don't expect Vi to see that in the moment but they were literally right outside the warehouse of the dude that was gonna murder them and she left her there. Also don't expect Vi to know about Powder's mental disorders but she definitely knew how dependent on her Powder was. I'm sure the moment she walked away their relationship was irreparably broken. Personally, I stopped liking Vi after this episode and she never redeemed herself. She's too self-righteous for me

I like watching this one because the different perspectives of everyone when Silco takes in Powder. Some seeing it as Silco being power hungry and getting a new weapon to use, while others see it as Silco relating to Powder and taking her in as an actual daughter. Both of these thought processes are viable throughout the entire show as well, it all depends on your perspective.

Everyone is so quick to blame vi or blame powder. They are CHILDREN, you wouldnt be prepared to deal with death and trauma like that, especially not having grew up with parents after a certain point and then the worst tragedy happens. It was an accident, it was horrible and everyone suffered. Powder did bad with good interntions, vi didnt control her emotiona for obvious reasons. Both of them suffered terribly, but powder was the youngest and weakest, she idolized vi and then in 1 day she lost everything and knew it was her fault. She literally broke her brain forever after that.

Feels weird to me when I see people blame Vi for abandoning Powder. Vi just went through a hell of a trauma. She was in shock, overwhelmed with adrenaline, grief and anger. She was not in control of her emotions. No one could be expected to be in control of themselves in that situation. Vi striking and screaming at Powder was as much an accident as Powder blowing up all their friends. If anything, Vi displayed immense willpower when she looked at her hand and realized what she was doing. She knew that she was hurting someone she did not want to hurt, even then. She did the best thing she could do, she got some space and tried to calm down and get herself under control. That's what you're supposed to do if you're in a situation too stressful to handle. That's what a therapist would tell you to do. Vi never left Powder, she was protecting her sister from herself.

Yeah, it’s so hypocritical they say “she’s a kid” while Powder just killed two other kids by accident, but with Vi not…just for being anger and punching to her little sister after all of that sh*t because she caused it by accident, I would do that in her situation honestly. The thing is, Vander told her literally seconds before to look after Powder. Those were his last words. Of course, we know VI's going through it but you know who's going through even worse than her? POWDER. What she's sad all her friends died? How must Powder feel having killed them? People keep saying Powder messed everything up but Powder is the reason at least Vi survived instead of all of them dying. Vander getting free and Clagger getting through one wall that seemed to lead into another room he'd still need to break through, weren't gonna change the outcome. Silco still had plenty more guys and plenty more shimmer. Sure I don't expect her to see that in the moment so she's justified to be angry, frustrated and sad but after everything they been through and how dependent she knows Powder is on her, leaving her behind for even a second was heartless. NOT TO MENTION THAT THEY WERE IN ENEMY TERRITORY. I liked Vi before but after this that went up in smoke. Especially since she does the same shit over and over in later eps. Vi constantly puts her hero act before Powder while simultaneously telling Powder they'll stick together no matter what and family comes first.

How can you get mad at Vi for getting mad at Powder? Vi is a kid just like Powder with anger issues. and watching your entire loved ones get blown up isnt exactly a chilled moment that anyone can keep a leveled head. especially a child. yes.. they are both children not just Powder. People who hate on Vi for her reaction have to understand that they are watching from the outside and understands Powders reasoning before anything even happened. Vi only know that he friends got killed period. She had to process the situation and calm down. Its insensitive to judge her actions as she only has one point of view while you are seeing the whole picture.

ok...guy on the top-left corner...I don't think anyone believes that Vi's reaction to what happened was the best one, but everyone can understand why it happened. Plus, Vi was not going to leave Powder, she needed a moment to get herself together. Vi was only a teen when all that happened.

Honestly, as visceral a moment as it was for the viewers, Vi striking Powder wasn't that big a deal in-story. These kids grew up on the streets and catching a slap didn't carry the same connotation that we attach to it in our world today. The music video suggests that Vi had knocked Powder around before when her temper got the better of it - at the time, Vi literally expressed herself by lashing out. The real trauma came when she grabbed her by her face and told her that Milo was right, that everything she feared might be true about herself was correct, and it was being validated by the one person she always relied on to stand up for her. Even more than walking away to calm down, those spoken words were the abandonment that she would never get over. Plus, of course, she was mentally unstable to begin with, and it goes all the way back. If you re-watch the opening scenes on the bridge, she's already having her 'scratchy image' hallucinations as her mind begins to fracture rather than process what she's seeing.
