Vi could literally confront Jinx that moment and let Ekko carry Caitlyn, but she chose to turn her back on Jinx and let Ekko fight her, that was the last opportunity for her to prevent Powder from turning into Jinx... even Ekko realized that Powder is still in there that's why he hesitates at the last moment

That entire fight/Scene was also the last time she truly felt herself like Powder. When she saw Ekko bring out the stopwatch, she took the same stance and shot in the same pattern as when they were still kids. That's why Ekko also stopped from knocking out/Killing Jinx, because he himself realized in that moment that the one he was fighting is actually powder, which made him hesitate. In the same way, like you said, it's the reason why she pulled the pin. Jinx wanted to die while still feeling like Powder and remembering some good times before all of her trauma, and in a way, she succeeded, because Powder fully died on that bridge and next time we saw her is with her signature Jinx pink eyes.

This episode is what cemented Arcane from a great TV show to the rank of absolute artistic masterpiece, to me ! The lair of the the Firelights, Jayce going from a good samaritan scientist to a lost and slightly power-drunk politician, the slow but steady descent of Viktor into darker, more "forbidden" territory, Silco's handling of the mafia, and gosh, this last fight between Ekko and Jinx on the bridge, the ultra badass slow-motion shot when Ekko appears flying on his hoverboard between Caitlyn and Vi, and his use of his rewind power during the fight, and the emotional gravita of the fight itself... Everything was just absolutely flawless ! If you want to cry even more about their fight, you can go have a look at Imagine Dragon's Enemy MV, there is a whole segment in it that doesn't appear in the series where we see Ekko and Powder playing together when they were kids (and quite implied taht Ekko had a crush on Powder, them being the same age, and all), and after seeing this, you won't see this fight on the bridge with the same eyes (like, with much more water in them).

About the Ekko vs. Jinx fight. The mechanic of Ekko character in the game is that he can come back a little in time. You can fight anda then use his power to rewind time for you and then fight again. Since timetravel wasan't created in Arcane (at least yet) they did this amazing job of portraiting his power as going back on time in his memories, in the time when he and Jinx played as kinds and then predicting Jinx moves he wons the fight. It was such a good adaptation and also the song and visuals. Flawless.

This was the saddest fight I've seen in a while. Two close friends who became enemies and none was really to blame for that. Showing their past with the game Elko lured her into was really interesting. Even tho Ekko outsmarted her using the memories and emotions (the game) he wasn't able to finish. Jinx (or should I say Powder in this case) also didn't even try to fight back. Instead, she wanted to end it all with the grenade... And she kinda did as Powder was no more after that :(

Also, can we just appreciate how in one scene they showed Silco as an absolute badass villain, in absolute control when he's with the chembarons, and in the next we see him at his most vulnerable, when's he's with Jinx?

It seems like Silco is manipulating Jinx but remember he really doesn't know why Vi is there, he reflects himself on Jinx and sees Vi in the same way he sees Vander, people that betrayed them.

Look at this from Silco's perspective, he doesn't know that Vi tried to come back for Powder, as far as he knows Vi just left Powder and then died (What Powder and then Marcus told him). About Vi on the bridge: I don't really think she really has much of a choice. Caitlyn is badly injured and needs to be brought to safety. She's afraid that if she leaves her side Jinx might kill her. They also need to bring the gemstone to the council.

She could've handed Caitlyn and the Gemstone over to Ekko, and confronted Jinx herself. Abandoning her sister once could be excused, especially considering the circumstances of episode 3. But twice? No. Vi failed her sister, first as a kid, and then again as an adult. She is clearly the antagonist of the show (even if she doesn't mean to be), she is the person causing Jinx the most pain and trauma out of all of them - and in this case, it hurt Jinx so badly she attempted suicide. This was her last chance to get through to Jinx, and she threw it away.

Vi's lines: "She [Powder] is still in there." and "I have to try [to change her]." to me epitomizes Vi's failure to understand Jinx. Vi doesn't acknowledge or accept Jinx as her sister, clinging instead to the memory of Powder as she used to be. To Vi, Jinx is like a monster that has replaced her sister, that needs to be removed to get Powder back - instead of seeing her as the sister she knew, only changed by time and trauma.

to all the people saying ekko shouldve just went with cait, DONT FORGET!! marcus just gave jinx's bomb to jayce and told him that its from the firelights, marcus probably already explained how the firelights operate so seeing ekko with his hoverboard would just solidify his identity as a firelight member, so it wouldnt have ended well, like.... at all. jayce only found out it wasnt them later on that day when vi and cait spoke to the council. plus caitlyn can vouch for vi in the council as they had developed more trust in between them tham ekko and cait who just met. could vi have just talked to jinx there? i guess? but considering jinx just tried to kill them both, it wasnt the best situation for it... it had to wait sadly

Cait could just as easily have vouched for Ekko as Vi. She hadn't known Vi much longer than Ekko (a day at most), and she was certainly able to convince Ekko to give up the Gemstone, so we know she is an eloquent and passionate speaker. Vi just didn't want to leave Cait while she was injured. - Also, DONT FORGET!!! Vi, Cait, and Ekko didn't know Marcus gave Jayce that bomb as evidence, so that couldn't factor into her decision at all. She has no excuse as far as I'm concerned. Abandoning her sister once could have been excused (especially considering the circumstances of episode 3) - but twice? No. Vi failed her sister and she is clearly the antagonist of the show, even if she doesn't mean to be.

@@mkmc94 I suspect it has more to do with his own trust issues: he assumes Vi is lying (either to him or herself) when she says she's there for Powder. I do think he was manipulating Jinx, but probably not intentionally - it's just how he views the world: "Everyone betrays us." Also, notice the fact that he was right: when given the chance to go to Piltover with the gemstone and Cait - or stay with Jinx, Vi chooses (arguably for good reasons) to leave her sister again. Vi did in fact abandon Jinx again, exactly as he predicted (her choice can be justified, of course, it makes sense that she would do as she did - but it doesn't change the fact, that she prioritized something and someone else over Jinx.)

Silco is not manipulating Jinx. He actually sees her as his own daughter and is very protective over her. He was betrayed just like Jinx was by Vi and so he sees allot of himself in her. He just tries to help with her trauma's its actually wholesome in its own mad & sad category. Vi is actually the one making the trauma's worse by calling her powder. It's why Silco tried to keep quiet about Vi and actually did not know she was alive. Marcus probably told him he killed her. While Marcus was the one who put her in jail. Simply put Silco is a villian in its of catergory and is a villian that sadly almost never gets made into other movies or series. To many hollywood movies just want the old baddie with no moral compass. Silco is actually a deep character. It makes you wonder who the bad guy really is. Thats what league of legends lore is anyway. There is no bad or good only the ones fighting for their own survival.

I'm only mad at Vi for the following reasons. the fact that instead of going to powder/Jinx right away she goes with them to the bridge. Her whole goal is to save her sister but i feel she lost sight of that goal. Her literally saying nothing to powder in the bridge moment is what made me mad. Then you see in the next episode she could've dropped Caitlyn down and ran to the explosion to find Jinx or echo. But instead saw her be taken by Silco again. This time there was no "marcus took her" excuse. I feel that is when it was too late. I also feel that echo was the one to bring out old powder but she hated herself at that point. She then decided to pull the pin on her life literally. It's unfortunate.

Silco's not really lying to her about Vi being there for the crystal. He has no way of knowing. I think that Silco really thinks she's there for the crystal instead of Jinx. So I don't think he's lying. He's just mistaken. It's a fair assumption to make, since Jinx assumed the same thing initially as well, right? I also think Silco has pretty serious trust issues due to the thing with Vander so he assumes that people betray, like Vi will betray Jinx. So he's being genuine, I'm quite sure.

Now that I see the bridge again, I wonder... what were Vi and Powder parents doing on the bridge? Responsible parents should not have any reason to be right there. Also, Vi always was a terrible nanny. Vi failed to protect Powder when Powder had the backpack. Vi failed to protect and evacuate Powder from the danger zone where Silco found Powder. And Vi failed again when Vi helped wounded Caitlyn to leave the bridge instead of joining Jinx. It was Vi's job, not Ekko's to face Jinx. I suspect Vi will never be able to dig Powder out of Jinx. Vi did not change, what changed is that Powder realized how much of a bad nanny Vi is.

With all due respect, I think you didn't follow well.In the second incident, al though the mission was successful, he came to the scene even though he was told that the powder would not come, yes he just wanted to help, but he caused the death of 3 people, they would get out of there before anyone died vi he disobeyed 3 people he loved, so he got angry and went to calm down in order not to do more damage. wanted to came back her but marcus wouldn't let vi In the bridge case, now jinx thought she betrayed him because vi turned to help caitline and he saw caitlini as the devil but he didn't see vi'i and jinx tried to shoot both of them if ekko wasn't there jinx would have killed not only caitlin but vi too vi could not go near jinx he would have killed her I have translated the sentences, sorry if there is any mistake
