It's actually really cool how the creators juxtaposed how two sisters see their dead family members. Vi sees Vander during her fight with Sevika, but he's encouraging her to keep going. Vi mistakenly thinks Jinx might also see them that way which is why she told her to remember them during the dinner party scene, but didn't get that instead of being these ghosts to lift her up, they're Jinx' demons that torment.

Even more ironic is that there is person who understood her there: Silco tells Jinx to not listen to her not because he is afraid Jinx will turn on him, but because he hears her say 'stop' when Vi mentions their names. She heard everything at the wrong time, failed when it mattered, succeeded when she shouldn't have, and every last time anything was going to go her way, something had to show up and rip it away from her, and it always had to make sure she saw it. Nothing ever went wrong for her in the background, it always had to be right before her eyes. (Edit: For clarification, as a rule of thumb, the protagonist of a story is the person whose name is first introduced, thereby the one the audience connects to and uses as the point of focus going forward. This is not always true, but usually. The first spoken line in Episode 1 is literally: "Hey, Powder!" making Powder the protagonist - and by extension Jinx. Powder also happens to be the first person whose voice we hear, as she sings on the Bridge in the first scene, and the POV character, as she witnesses the carnage on the Bridge.)

Since everybody in league fandom just talks about vi, cait, jinx or viktor, im dedicating my last comment here to Jayce: This episode was so good for Jayce, it made him justice, he was a character that ascended to power in piltover and that was so much pressure in his shoulders, you can see him being stressed in almost every scene, always getting influenced by other people opinions and interests, (he got influenced by heimer in the independence day speech, by mel all the time, by viktor, by mels mother, even by Vi when she convinced him to attack silco) And finally in this episode we got his change, killing that kid was a stop for him, Vi tries to convices him to keep fighting and we finally see him saying no. After that he contact with silco to make the peace, all by his own, his decission wasnt influenced by anyone, then he goes to the council and tell everyone he doesnt give a shit about their opinions anymore (except mel), he knows he is doing the correct and for the first time he is being totally confident of his OWN DECISION. One of the greatest character evolution in this series.

"it all makes sense no, brother... Is there anything as undoing as a daughter?“ Flawless monolog writing. Also massive props to Jinx VA (Ella Purnell, I think) Everyone does a really good job with the voice acting but everything about Jinx in the table scene is absolutely perfect. Hell, it's almost too real. Combined with, again, the absolutely brilliant character writing is hauntingly beautiful as much as it's scary and tragic. You genuinely wanna hold, protect and comfort the psychotic murderer... Takes a special kind of perfection to make that work.

I feel you, brother. If there was a way I could jump into the series to hug Jinx I would. That's just because we both know her actions are the consequences of traumatic past events she didn't really have the most control of. And even though she was lead to those decisions, she feels guilty of it all, despite Silco being the piece that made it all work that way. Yet, despite the fact I can't really put the blame on her, there's not a single moment I can say Jinx is happy. It's all sadness and trauma, with no sight at retribution. Man, I wanted Vi to get her little sister back so much. And now I can't cope with the fact Jinx is all alone with her traumatic thoughts. Just hurts.

And I love how Silco came to understand and respect Vander because he to had come to love Jynx as a daughter and would’ve given up his dream of an free and independent Zaun for her safety and freedom. I do hate how it ended the cliffhanger as if there was a new episode out next week, and not what GOT did with closing the chapter but showing a peak at the next chapter. But other than that this show is PERFECT I’ve been a gamer my entire life and I never played League of Legends (mostly because I’ve never been able to afford a PC) but now I am a HUGE fan of it just from this show.

Congratulations, Magy ! I cried when I watched the finale last week, and you managed to make me cry once again through your reaction. I just love watching your reaction coz you're so expressive and emotional, and your range of emotion can go from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye ! I'm working in animation, and truthfully, this series will go down as a revolution in the animation industry (there's gonna be a pre-Arcane,era and a post-Arcane era), and this final episode will go down in history as one of the best finale in the history of fiction, all medias included (novels, comics, animation, Live action TV series...) : The writing is so insanely good, it's maddening ! Just how they managed to converge all the different characters stories into one final sequence that just impacts everything with such a cataclysmic strength ... and leave us hanging there literally off a cliff with Sting singing What could have been when the rocket smashes the window when everyone voted the peace treaty... Just absolutely WOW !!! Fortiche prod used to make music videos for Lol, and it really shows, here, how they're just so good at basically cram a MV in each episode, and make it happen so that it's not jarring but actually ENHANCES the narration ! And here we are, hanging on that cliff for at least 2 years (yes season 2 is in production, but animation, especially of this quality, takes a lot of time, so don't expect it before at the very least 2 full years. After all, it took 6 years to complete season 1, but at least, now they don't need to go through the whole research and development of all the concept art and working pipeline with the CG software, and all the characters are modeled and textured, already, so they "only" need to animate them) So looking forward for season 2 ! And so looking for the double treat of you reacting to it !

It's fascinating how they wrote the sisters reaction to their trauma. Vi's was to bottle it up and press on while Powder's was to put on a facade and devolve into madness. While both of the siblings have trust issues, Vi hasn't had the freedom to fully deal with her trauma as she's been locked up and has always had to take on the role as a strong leader; but Powder has survival guilt and is always being dragged down by it. This is just how I interpret it, this show does wonders.

Great reaction, Magy ❤ I love your channel. Silco almost murdered Violet in front of Jinx/Powder, and yet everyone is praising him lmao it's wild. He was a great villain, and a complex one. He did love Jinx as a daughter, and I believe he was sincere about what he said. That doesn't mean he wasn't also manipulative and didn't use Jinx. He most certainly did use her, and raised her to be a killer. Let's not gloss over that fact, simply because he died. If Jinx didn't kill him, Violet would be dead and Jinx would've had to witness her sister die instead.

@MaddeningFly2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say "great". He loved her and was supportive of her, no questions on that front, but he also very much made her mental issues worse by manipulating her and making her believe Vi was dead, and then trying to keep her from the truth so he could keep her all to himself. And lets not forget that his "life lessons" and the line of work he pushed her into shaped her to be an unstable and remorseless killer. So no, not a "great father". He wasn't as bad as we could have expected, but he wasn't good for her health. I wish people could make the difference between a villain with redeeming qualities and a good person, just like many people seemingly can't make the difference between a disfunctional and manipulative yet sincere person and an actually good father (the latter would be Vander, whom Silco stabbed in the back, remember ?).
@condes91882 жыл бұрын

I wouldn't call Silco a great father because he turned a kid into a violent criminal, but Silco values loyalty and doesn't apply double standards for himself. He sacrificed his dreams for Jinx, which was epic.
@lolicongang.49742 жыл бұрын
@@RichardHorpe The problem with that is, silco doesn't see that violence as anything. Violence is a base for something he says so her being violet is nothing to hard to understand for him. And her relief was violence. And she seemed somewhat stable before vi came back. *Sip Tea* Even they way they talk like jinx didn't speak much about vi and her old life. He wanted her to forget the past and love on. Even if she was violent. It didn't matter she was ok in this state. At least not sitting in a corner and crying a bunch. She had more family in one man than anyone else.
@F1rstWorldNomaD2 жыл бұрын
Not sure I'd use the term "great father"... I guess the circumstances excuse alot of decisions and behaviors that would normally disqualify him but not really all of them. He let's her run loose with bombs and fully automatic weapons, getting into constant life or death battles, I'm not sure where the line goes while fighting a civil war but I'm pretty sure they've crossed it when you reach suicide bombing bridges. But he truly loved her tho, that's for sure.

I have an feeling that the reason why Jinx shot the rocket up against the consuls room, Were because She are probably Blaming them for everything that happened. After all Think about it, it was the Piltover that killed her parents, its because of them that she and the rest in the undercity had to live in such an horrible area, and because of that everything else happened in the story. So That's why I think she was willing to Blow the consuls up like that. She may even blame them for Silco's death even if its not their fault on that, but in her twisted mind it may seem like that.

Arcane is my Star Wars in 2021. That may seem a bit of a superlative hyperbole but it is not; let me explain. In 1977 Star Wars had visual effects, editing, cinematography, and world building that nobody (including myself) had ever seen before. And even though the character development borrowed heavily from Joseph Campbell's "The Hero's Journey" and from Akira Kurosawa films that many other Hollywood movies had used before, Star Wars used them in a new, fresh, and interesting way. It's what sucked me and many others into being huge fans (okay, to be fair - obsessed) with Star Wars. Skip to 2021 and Arcane... here I am watching a show (I knew of League of Legends, but never played it. Never watched any of the trailers or media hype leading up to Arcane. And I honestly thought it was just another animated video-game cash grab. I felt a bit burned from the Mortal Kombat remake and other video game adaptations in the past few years. However, I very much enjoyed Castlevania, and everyone wouldn't shut up about how great Arcane was. Plus I own the Mechs vs. Minions board game - one of the best production quality board games I own... hmm, maybe I'll give Arcane a shot). Anyway, back on track... here I am watching a show and the more I am watching it, the more I am getting the same reactions/feelings I had when I watched Star Wars back in 1977 so very long ago. Wait, what is this? Am I actually watching visual effects that give me the same sense of awe as the visuals I witnessed in back in 1977? I'm an old cynical curmudgeon of modern pop-culture and cinema; how could this possibly be happening?! Wait, what is this? Am I in awe of the editing and cinematography actually being in service of the character's stories and arcs? And they are actually adhering to the story-telling 101 of show-don't-tell? I'm an old-cynical curmudgeon of modern pop-culture and cinema; how could this possibly be happening?! Wait, what is this? Am I actually drawn into the excellent world-building be presented here, and I am now obsessed with delving further into the lore of this world? I'm an old cynical curmudgeon of modern pop-culture and cinema; how could this possibly be happening?! And my last and favorite part of what Arcane has delivered for me... THE PROTAGONIST!! Sorry, to all-caps that, but I felt it was important to emphasize what truly sets Arcane apart from the usual story troupes I have seen before and is the most important part of Arcane. Its protagonist's story. Who might your ask is the protagonist of Arcane? Well, I'm glad you asked! It's Jinx. Wait, what?! How can that be you might ask? Well, let me be here to edjumicate you :p (sorry) A protagonist is the character of a story that the entire plot effects/drives the story forward/revolves around/is in service of. Don't mistake that a protagonist is the Hero of a story, or is the character who has the most screen time. As far as plot is concerned, who/what action put this entire story into motion? Would any world-building, characters meeting each other, or conflicts ever happened if this one event didn't take place? What was that one event? It's Powder dropping/exploding the unstable crystal in Jayce's apartment. That put this whole story into motion. Also, every other character's actions in some way directly or indirectly effect Powder/Jinx's story to get her to the point that she pulled the trigger on Fishbones. So much more can be said/delved into (what's great about this show), but just know that this is a Villain's origin story, first and fore most. Everything else is in service of that. And that what makes this so great and fresh in 2021. It's opposite of Star Wars 1977's the Hero's Journey origin story. It's not meant to be a heroic tale, it's a tragedy meant to be the Villain's Journey. And thank you to Relic and Fortiche for making me feeling the same feels and awe I had in watching Star Wars 1977's hero story while watching a 2021's villain story 44 years later. Bravo!! Also, it is exciting seeing so many people enjoying/acknowledging great story writing when they see it. Gives me hope for the future of modern pop-culture content!

yea thats the thing with unconditional love, as noble as it sounds, it isnt for the best sometimes, and that definitely was the case here. as mush as silco loved jinx unconditionally, he did what a bad parent would do, never discipline her. all good parents will discipline their children to avoid them from going down the wrong path, but he let her go there, he even supported it. he loved her yes. but it doesnt change the fact that he still used her for his gains. then theres vi, she loves powder, and even tho i think she knows herself that powder just isnt that person anymore, she has to try, she loves her so much, she doesnt want her to keep going down this path of no return. i think everyone will get this, as no one wants a family member to be a psychotic murderer, u cant really expect vi or anyone to be like, "hi sis, i see you just killed a hundred people, i freakin love u!" right? no one can. they both changed, it was never going to work how they both wanted. was there a chance? maybe, but saving jinx with shimmer threw what little chance they had left out the window. just asking vi to kill caitlyn was proof enough. could caitlyn really have done it? shoot jinx in front of vi? with their romance just being made? ofc not. she hesitated and got knocked out. it would be interesting too, to see where the relationship vi and caitlyn has been nurturing go, considering jinx most likely just killed her mother.

Silco was sincere. He had a villain to Father Arc, rather he became his brother by the end. He thought if he empowered her and put her circumstances he had was Vander it would help her heal. Unfortunately It did not work out as well as he hoped it would. He did empower her and care for her. He was willing to give up his entire dream of a Free Zaun and even go to jail to keep JINX Safe. Silco did what Vander did. Vander gave up his dream for Vi & Powder ❤❤❤ talk about character growth of an anti-villain. Absolutely love JINX,Silco,Vander,Vi & Ekko❤❤❤ I am team JINX though, she hits too close to home. And now she’s alone after firing the missile, she just disappears. Leaving her sister And not killing Kaitlyn, which is significant. It was definitely a good gesture on behalf of Vi ❤❤❤

Most likely everyone will die there, Jayce will save himself using a hextech defense, maybe he will save someone else. Victor will most likely die and hekcore will save him, bring him back to life. Caitlin's mother and the others probably won't survive. Caitlit will take the place of the captain, Vi will become her assistant, in the lower city she has nothing to do. Silvika will take the place of Silko. Heimerdinger and Ekko will take the third side in this confrontation. Mel 's mother will bring NOX to the war too, in order to take revenge, she will not be able to stand aside. Well, Jinx has already gone off the rails ...
