i feel like you're the only reaction channel i've seen who regards the complexities between Caitlyn, Vi, and Jinx's relationships. it's more than surface-level betrayal - there's an inherent separation between the classes that Vi is desperately trying to bridge with Caitlyn to no avail. when Caitlyn says that she knows how it feels to have her parents killed by enforcers, it's inherently tonedeaf because her mother had a funeral procession, a memorial. people mourned for her as a respected member of the council. comparatively, Vi's parents were killed in war by enforcers; slaughtered as casualties by the reigning upper class and left in the streets among the rubble. they weren't awarded such bravery for fighting for their cause - respect and freedom for the people of the undercity - since that would directly go against the interests of everyone in Piltover that benefits from the oppression of the people of Zaun, Caitlyn included. in my opinion, Vi can understand how Cait might be feeling, but Cait could never fully reciprocate Vi's trauma, oppression, and familial/emotional turmoil.

@@kuivia That's true but I also think that instance shows the disparity between the two. The Zaunite that attacked the memorial did so in order to avenge her son, which apparently makes them "animals" yet Caitlyn believes she's fully justified in flooding Zaun's streets with the grey to avenge her mother. Not to mention how her mother's killer, Jinx, is a wanted criminal with a bounty on her head but that kid's killer, Jayce, is not only a free man but allowed to keep his position of power despite all those witnesses to his crime. Zaunites' lives are seen as insignificant so their deaths are ultimately meaningless, however, if one of their own is killed they see it as justification for chemical warfare and a fascist regime.

Trivial trivia: 1.) Viktor’s first “recruit” is a minor character that has had a couple appearances. First as a normal accountant being harassed by in the bar and then protected by Vander, then a Shimmer addict whom Caitlyn gave a presumably much needed hug, and then an extremely remorseful snitch who gave away Vi and Caitlyn’s position so he could get his fix 2.) The reason Sevika was in such pain despite not having a Hextech weapon? There’s still shards of Hextech shrapnel in her neck from when Powder blew things way out of proportion in Episode Three of the first season. Jace smacking the Wild Rune affected Hextech regardless if weaponry or otherwise 3.) Caitlyn jabbing Vi in the chest has a double meaning as that’s the same spot Sevika stabbed and poisoned Vi after their first fight. Vi opened a sore and painful wound, so Caitlyn returned the favor

Sevikas arm tells exactly who is in power in the undercity Her arm has always been a status to tell who was in power even when it was no one 1-3 she had her own arm. Meaning Vander was in power In episode she lost her arm. The same episode Vander died. Meaning at that day. No one was in power bc Silco needed time to gain that power Then when silco was in charge. She had a shimmer arm. And on the same day where silco died. She lost the shimmer arm In the first part of the season 2. There's a power struggle. Meanwhile she still has no arm. They kind of kill themselves fighting for power. Then Jinx gives Sevika a new arm. Considering what Jinx was able to accomplish in episode 3. And the nation of Zaun looking with eyes of wonder when the pipes explode with colors. I think thst means Jinx will be in charge going forward. Which will be backed by Sevika having the lotto arm

Their lives are marked by rebellion against the circumstances they were born into, highlighting themes of class struggle present in both narratives. n a pivotal moment during the uprising, Éponine saves Marius’s life. When she sees that he is in danger from enemy fire, she throws herself in front of him to protect him. This act of bravery results in her being mortally wounded. Final Moments: As she lies dying in Marius’s arms, Éponine reveals her true feelings for him one last time. She expresses happiness that he loves Cosette and finds peace knowing he will be happy with someone else. Her death scene is filled with emotional weight as she passes away contentedly after having fulfilled her love for Marius through her sacrifice. #TimeBomb ? Jinx saves Ekko or Vi to be fair. Ok now I am gutted.💔 Caitlyn's journey reflects the tragic arc of Macbeth, marked by ambition, moral conflict, and ultimately, a descent into darkness. In the opening credits of Season 2, Caitlyn is depicted with imagery that resonates with Macbeth's themes, suggesting her rise to power and the heavy burdens that accompany it. This connection is further emphasized by her increasingly ruthless behavior as she pursues Jinx, viewing her as an obstacle rather than a sister figure14. Episode 3 Insights By the end of Episode 3, Caitlyn's transformation becomes even more pronounced. Her actions are driven by a desire for vengeance against Jinx, mirroring Macbeth's ambition that leads to betrayal and violence. As she grapples with her grief over her mother's death and her responsibilities as a leader, Caitlyn's character embodies the tragic consequences of unchecked ambition25. In a pivotal scene, Caitlyn's confrontation with Vi showcases her internal struggle; she feels compelled to push Vi away to achieve her goals, hinting at a deep-seated regret reminiscent of Macbeth's tragic choices28. The episode culminates in Caitlyn being appointed as a general by Ambessa Medarda, further entrenching her in a role that reflects power but also manipulation, akin to how Macbeth was used by Lady Macbeth to fulfill their ambitions5 Ambessa was also being depicted as Julius Caesar in the intro, Victor as Phantom of the Opera. Every character which meet tragic ends.

One of my predictions that turned out right was Jayce using the hexcore to save Viktor's life, with the side effect of furthering Viktor's progression toward ... what he becomes. Some of my other predictions turned out right too, but those were practically spelled out to happen anyway. There's one particular prediction I had that may still happen by the end of the season, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. It had to do with "I too once had a daughter" spoken by Singed in season 1.

I assume it is just extendable, but no one has explained why Victor's crutch turned into a bishop's crook (for a character image enhancement, I guess)

It's like the hex core was modifying it to his new needs

I think the height was adjustable - in the time skip between episodes 3 and 4 in season 1, it goes from a cane to a crutch. Not sure why it just happened to be fully extended, maybe the extension mechanism broke in Jinx's attack? Just speculating.
@SuperDrawBotАй бұрын
When he emerges from the cocoon you can see him "infect" the cane as he walks. The hexcore extended it. But as a meta reason, yeah, its to help the visual design hahaha. They went hard on the prophet angle, with the cane and the book of revelations. Particularly Jesus coded with the sheepherder's cane and whatnot.

Why do so many reactions say kate wouldn't have missed or she really doesn't miss. She literally just missed moments before at the same range. She definitely was aiming for jinxs head but got her finger.

@@BuddyChyThis is a really big reach, we know that she was aiming for her head and missed. The whole point of this scene was to show us how far Cait is lost to her need for revenge and how quickly she’s willing to turn to fascism to get what she wants, hence why she agrees to lead with Ambessa and enact martial law by the end of the episode.

@vadalia3860Ай бұрын
My guess for where Jayce, Echo, and Prof. Furball are is wherever Jayce & his mother were transported from when he was a kid. They flashed to him as a kid there right beforehand and somewhere snowy is where the scientist guy seems to be, so I'm guessing them stumbling across him is how whatever he's cooking up is going to be integrated into the story.

Have you watched the teaser song they released just before arcane? "Blood, sweat and tears" is a hint on Ambessa's backstory

4:38 this part annoyed me cos caitlyn does not know how vi feels just because her mom died. the contexts are completely different. caitlyn had one person die; vi has has had people dying around her since childhood. not to mention, if caitlyn did know how vi felt, she would know better than to ask. idk i like caitlyn but her entitlement rly aggravates me sometimes.

For 2 years I've been telling everyone Mel would survive the blast because she has her own shield... makes sense now that she went and embraced Jayce, sharing her shield with him. I used to wonder how would Viktor survive, but he was actually almost dead. For proof you can first just check the last seconds of the first season. Her golden armor glows and warns her before even the rocket is close from hitting the window. Second, there's a interview from one of the sound engineers explaining how the sound of her golden "armor" (from his own words) sounds.
@LadyDoomsingerАй бұрын
I really hope that's not the case, because that would be really bad writing. Introducing literal plot armor without explanation or setup, that only League of Legends players would recognize or understand? A kind of magic that is completely different from anything we've seen or heard about at any point during the show? Until now the writers have only included references to the games as Easter Eggs - it would be really weird to do that for such an important plot point and I think the show's writers are better than that.
@santiagogeringertueros7791Ай бұрын
@LadyDoomsinger i mean you can check it out yourself! It's not obvious but it's really in the surface of chapter 9. She is looking at Jayce as he is facing the window, but she reacts briefly, stopping a smile. Then looks backwards as her "golden decorations" shine through her clothes, and then the rocket (which doesn't trigger a reflection from that) gets to the window. I mean you can really understand what's happening if you *really* look closer, no need to know LOL lore.
@santiagogeringertueros7791Ай бұрын
Then Jayce asks himself how is that even possible! Everything checks out
