WOW! I JUST finished watching the FINAL episodes of Arcane, Arcane Season 2 Episode 7, Arcane Season 2 Episode 8 and Arcane Season 2 Episode 9 LIVE on stream so I wanted to share my review of the three newest episodes of Arcane Season 2 while they're still fresh! Which episode of Arcane Season 2 Part 3 was your favorite so far and which moments hit you the hardest? Ekko's time loop journey in Episode 7, Mel unlocking her full Black Rose potential and the Caitlyn/Vi prison scene in Episode 8 and the massive battle in Episode 9 that culminates in the death of Ambessa and Maddie (lol) as well as the potential death of Jayce, Victor and Jinx were ALL highlights. GLORIOUS CINEMA! Were YOU happy with Arcane's series finale?

Just to talk about the Jinx situation, for anybody in doubt, here are the reasons it's pretty obvious she's alive. - at the very start of the explosion, you can see a single pink beam go out, just like when Jinx zaps around with her speed, AFTER that the pink explosions start - Cait is looking at the vent system WHILE looking at a piece of a grenade from Jinx, why would that piece be relevant if it's not connected to Jinx? - in S1E1 when the kids arrive in Piltover for the job, a big airship (1:1 like the ship at the end of S2E9) flies above their heads and Powder says something like "One day, I'll ride one of those" - in act 3, Jinx literally mentions how Vi will never give up on her, she basically thinks her being dead is the only way Vi can finally close this chapter and move on from all the pain and family issues - Jinx clearly lost herself after Isha's death, she's not Powder, but she's not Jinx either. For her entire life she's always been attached to someone else (Vi/Vander/Silco/Isha), Silco encourages her to have the strength to "walk away and break the cycle". Jinx staging her death and walking away from this life gives Vi closure and Jinx the possibility to find herself and heal. It's perfect.

Singed is basically a better Orochimaru. He doesn't get in trouble at all. Gets everything he wants. Never sees a trial. Everyone who could point a finger at him is either dead or doesn't know his worst crimes. He's lit.

But if not for his daughter he is great. He took seconds after Victor told him to end Warwick and transfer aspect Shimmer. He did eventually to try and help his daughter, but he took the time to. It was a beast but a man. "A victim of great tragedy." But he still experimented on Vander. That pure compassion before his science brain reasons out he has to do something terrible because he values his daughter above all makes him so compelling. He drops bars in S2E5.

Bro, I loved Heimer’s banjo song. It was so bitter sweet, juxtaposed with all the tragedy, like every country song is. Such a great call to use it and even more special that the voice actor for Heimerdinger actually sang it.

When to me it seemed like Cait was telling her that she intentionally gave Vi an opportunity to come and bust Jinx out and as soon as that dawned on Vi she was of course immediately overwhelmed with gratitude and love what followed is just what came naturally in that moment.

Maddie's betrayal had a small foreshadow on Episode 6 when Ambessa and Vi was talking. Ambessa thanked Vi for getting Caitlyns's affection then leaving cause she could fill the void that was left behind. She planted Maddie 100%

Well Vitkor was healing people, and it was their decision too and was overall a pacifist, I mean he didn't want to do Singed evolutionary. I don't know if Viktor knew his community individual humanity would die if he died, because I think Viktor momentarily died when Jayce shot him. That whole segment still a bit confusing. Vander was being healed, and Isha died too due to Jayce. Viktor at that stage wasn't a villain, Jayce actions either was the catayst or just sped the route he was going down by a lot.

As for a couple of your questions. Heimerdingers fate is unknown, yordles are tricky creatures, magical. He could have vaporized or he could have teleported to Yordle home town, Bandle City, which is home to many portals. Or he went to another point in time. LeBlanc is known as The Deceiver. Leader of the Black Rose. A Powerful entity in Noxus. She is a powerful mage/sorcerer and is like a master of puppets. She wouldn’t show her true face, prolly because she can mimic voices and faces, as seen in the show. “I am everywhere. I am everyone” is a great line from her in the Legends of Runeterra card game. And FYI Said card game has more lore than the actual game.

Swain would have been very interested in this event, being a former member of the black rose and thinking he destroyed it. He would have seen this arcane event as a true threat to Noxus and most likely why his Raven was there to see what happened.

Im really surprised by people thinking Jinx is dead like they make it clear she left on that air ship at the end with it doing the Jinx glitch when showing it and Caitlin looking at the vents on the diagram where Jinx blew up the bomb, and I don't think the mage is just Viktor I think it's a fusion of Viktor and Jayce and that's what happens to them at the end they go to start to loop getting back to here

I don't think that's the case with Heimerdinger, his character dying and then respawning would just feel cheap. Since yorldes are magical beings i think something like the arcane(which is already confirmed to have ties to the void)would be able to kill them, especially a time-space warping anomally that sounds just like how bandle city operates

Do you mean that as a good thing? Arya killing the night king was not well received. It didn't match with the profecy or any of her story arc and didn't make any sense. Here Ekko didn't solo viktor with some epic move. He gave an opportunity to jayce to reason with viktor and sort things out.

Re; Jinx As well as there being no other reason to show Caitlyn with a Monkeybomb fragment looking at tower schematics,... 1) You also see two pink streaks heading off to the side of the tower at the moment of the explosion 2) the blimp that sails away at the end is the exact same blimp Jinx saw from the rooftops in S1E1 and said "One day I'll ride in one of those". Like, not only the same type of blimp, not only the same viewpoint, it's the exact same piece of fortice artwork. For real,.. S1E1 05:20 and S2E9 46:39 Sweet little nod from the creator's right there.

I personally loved the Heimerdinger song. For me it was well performed and unexpected. I think it worked well with the juxtaposition between the two timelines. The lyrics are also incredibly poignant and satisfying after the fact.

For the Mel and Ambessa part: Ambessa is all about "sacrifice" while Mel keeps trying to reason her to stop the war but Ambessa doesn't want to, which pushes Mel to kill her. Mel knows her mother will die if she uses the "gift" thats why Black Rose gave it to her to aid her to do that and she still made that sacrifice for the city. I think that scene with the Black Rose is intended to show Ambessa that Mel was ready to be a "wolf" by giving her to the Black Rose as sacrifice for the purpose of betraying and eliminating the BR member/possessed/clone (not LeBlanc) while saving the city. Singed will be chased away out of Piltover and Zaun because of his crimes and possibly be seperated to her daugther. He will be recruited by Noxus and the rest is already told in the current lore.

Ekko is the MVP of the show but he is also the cause of it. Arcane wouldn’t even happen if Ekko didn’t suggest Vi’s group to go to Jayce’s lab. This whole show is about the consequences of our actions whether it’s our intention or not and how each person deal with it

The reason Jinx faked her death, she wanted Vi to be happy with Caitlyn, she knew if she stayed it would make things politically complecated for Zaun and Piltover, some people would not be onboard for forgiving jinx and Caitlyn would have had to jail her even if she forgave Jinx. Also, in other to move forwards she needed to leave her past behind. And Caitlyn would not tell Vi because she know if she knew she is alive she would leave to look for her.

Thats one of the main reasons Arcane's writing is so great. The writers respect you enough to not spoon feed you everything and leaves many things open. In fact, The part that gave me solace of Jinx's ending was that Ekko and Jinx had their reconciliation off-screen. You can just tell by the difference between Suicide Jinx and Isha Battle Bus Jinx, she found a sense of purpose in the time she had with Ekko off-screen. The art tributes to Isha and outfits the Firelights and her shared just portray that so nicely. Im thinking, they had as much time Jayce had to rally and train Zaunites and Pilties and as long as Singed to roid up the Noxus army. That balloon was not built in a day. And that makes me happy :) I know shes still alive but it was a great payoff for me thinking about it.

I love how intertwined the music and visuals are in Arcane and i really loved 'The Line' by twenty one pilots and how haunting and vulnerable it sounds and how the lyrics kinda relates to Jayce and viktors relationship and it fit so perfectly in the moment when viktor starts the evolution and Vander's memories are stripped away and he disapears again.

Also, there's a frame when the explosion happens that you can see a purple bolt flashing to the side, it's the shimmer color and its Jinx flashing to safety, also you're right, she's on the airship and you might not remember but that last shot is a direct call back to episode 1 of the show when Powder expressed her desire to one day ride on those air ships, she's 100% alive!

15:29 Honestly, the contrast between Jayce and Ekko was a little funny but it also just really emphasized to me Jayce’s statement that “Hextech was a curse”; Jayce was suffering in a reality where Hextech ruined civilization whereas Ekko was partying in a reality where Hextech was never developed (due to Jinx/Powder hiding it). 29:53 Also, I saw in someone’s YT short that in the last second o the explosion, you see a streak of pink light which likely could be Jinx’s shimmer power. They hypothesized that Jinx decided to “fake her own death” so that Vi could live her life (since like Jinx said in the prison, Vi would stop at nothing for her sister).

If anyone tries to deny shes alive........just tell em to go back to the explosion and slow down the speed to .25, cause when the explosion goes off, you can LITERALLY see Jinx dash off to the top right corner. Every time she uses her "shimmer dash", it leaves like that pink trail. So you can literally see her dash off. Combine that with Caitlyn smiling about the air ducts, the fact they end on a zeppelin which Jinx always wanted to ride on and then when the show fades to black, you literally see the screen glitch out and it does her logo. You'd actually have to be room temp IQ to think shes dead.

@@7billza Caitlyn likely asked Vi about whether or not she's still in the fight because she wanted to see whether or not Jinx's "sacrifice"/walking away from the cycle would negatively affect Vi's motivation or will to keep living. When she gives the answer that she does, Caitlyn likely pieces together what Jinx was trying to do by "dying" and keeps the revelation to herself

If you wanna be more in-depth with the "Jinx surviving" theory. Notice when Jinx shoulder bashes Warwick, there's a unique sound effect when she used her shimmer ability. It's close to identical with the Pink streak sound effect before the explosion.

People were so mad at the ending and agreeably there were some stuff/characters that probably should've had more screentime, but with the time they were given, i still think the final episode was truly phenomenal

The Black Rose was the real letdown. It's the part that showed how rushed it was, when it plays out with Ambessa and Mel just showing up and freeing her instantly it's pretty weird. Even Jinx's and Vi's moments in episode 8 were very quick. Jinx's fake death in episode 9 could have been legit just time issues if it were real (regarding you saying they would have given more time, they didn't have it). Act 2 was definitely more paced, even episode 7 I would say. Just one episode more would have done so good to the show, let alone one other batch of episodes.

Mel has kind of a hybrid of two different powers I think.. the black rose magic but the shield stuff she got from something else I am not sure,, She used her black rose magic to enter the realm that her mom is in and used her other power to get themselves out... Thats my interpretation but who knows XD

I took your advice and rewatched that scene and clicked through frame by frame and upon closer inspection I noticed what really happened was Mel erected a spherical shield around Maddy, not around Caitlyn. This meant when Maddy fired her gun the bullet couldn't escape that spherical shield so it bounced around inside it until it hit the only person in there which was Maddy.

for heimerdinger we know that (yordles) are made of magic and that they are immortal but we don't know if its just they don't die by aging or they just can't die but most of ppl think tht they just don't die and when they do they just respawn to bundle city (their home) and it doesn't exist in the actual physical reality

That little time loop ability gives new meaning to his name. Originally I thought 'Oh, he's called Echo because he can't keep his mouth shut and repeats anything anybody tells him' but now it seems he's Echo because he can repeat his own actions with that time loop.

Mel is kinda comfirmed to be a champions because an image with her champions portrait was accidentally leaked. Heimerdinger is an yordle and from what I know they dont really die. I think they "respawn", if they are going to, in their city (Bandle city). That's probably why heimerdinger said something like: " we will see each other again soon" to ekko. I also think next show is 99% sure Noxus because the 3 eyed raven that appears in the end is from Swain, Noxus leader(depending on the timeline). And because, If they follow some of the lore, Singed will be part of an very lore important attack that Noxus executes on other country/region. I'm also 99% sure jinx is not dead, even not warwick. Warwick because if he survives, he will become the warwick from league lore basically (does'nt remember anything, and kills random thugs), but I dont believe he will appear in a next show. Jinx, a lot of people pointed out that you can actually see a pink line before the explosion in the end, the same purple line that we see when she "zooms", also the caitlyn thing, otherwise that scene would be useless and also other thing a lot of people caught on is that in the begining of the show she says that one day she will ride on one of the hot air ballons, well, the show ends with one leaving Piltouver/Zaun. About League, Roger I'm now 5 months clean of playing league and I would not recommend ANYONE playing it. I mean the game is not bad, but the community is very toxic and the game isn't beginner friendly at all. There will be moments when you will have the worst 15 min of your gamming experience. Also Viktor ingame is more like a late game champion, I think riot makes the champions that are stronger in the lore, weak early in the game but very strong in the late game.

9/10 best musical I've ever watched But seriously, there's very little to hate besides the fate of some characters being ambiguous for the time being, like I doubt jinx is dead, warwick has crazy regerative powers and he survived on multiple occasions to small explosions like that jinx trap, finally viktor and jayce, again, doubt they are dead, but what exactly happened, were they transported to the arcane, something happened that is not really explained, after all jayce's world rune given by viktor transports people and I'm pretty sure it's the rune that stands for time? so they could really be anywhere now, maybe they're making sure the cycle continues, after all if viktor was the one that gave the rune to little jayce, then there needs to be a version of viktor that realized the error of his ways.... aka prime viktor. As for the donger, he is very much alive, yordles just respawn in bandel city when they die so I wonder if he will want to return to piltover and reunite with ekko or not But even if they did die, one thing I really like about arcane is being able to have closure on some champion's stories, all we know from league is their bios, which contain the main information, we may even get a short story, but we never see where the champions end up, it was good, in a way, seeing where ambessa's story ends Also, how the show respects the original lore while making it its own thing, Viktor's glorious evolution is basically word for word what we knew since he came out, turning everybody into cyborgs devoid of individuality and free will to get rid of conflict and give everyone a happy ending, arcane respected that but also added its own side of the story, viktor originally didn't want things to end up like that, while there were hints of the people viktor cured not being the same as they once were, the truth is, they were still individuals, but once episode 6 happened viktor realized that you can't give people their individuality if you strive for a perfect world with no conflict, it's great

Hey, just watched the whole video and haven't seen (or perhaps missed) an explanation on the Black Rose. So the Black Rose agent doesn't necessarily have to be LeBlanc, it could just be a generic member of the organization, but chances are it was LeBlanc since I'm assuming the writers would want to involve the main Black Rose champion whenever the organization is involved, just makes sense. I don't want to get into spoilers about her, so I'll just say that LeBlanc is an incredibly powerful mage who has her hand in tons and I mean TONS of events throughout the game's lore. If the Black Rose we saw in Season 2 was LeBlanc there is practically a 0% chance she is dead - she transforms into so many people and creates so many clone apparitions of herself that even if it was her, it was likely just an illusion she made that Mel ended up dispelling.

Ah, I loved the Banjo! And his singing was awesome. I never would have expected it. It was also interesting to see that Vi's choices caused all of the issues in the present world. What I didn't quite understand was how we where able to make the vision of Zaun occur. It looked like Piltover and Zaun were one city. There were no barriers. Piltover soldiers were in Zaun markets, everyone was talking to each other. Ekko stopped at the line in the road that once separated the city. How did the 2 cities rectify their conflict? Was Vi's death enough for them to figure out how to mend fences? That was the hardest thing for me to except. Don't get me wrong, I loved that episode. The Piltover/Zaun conundrum and how we ended with the unified, healed city was one thing I didn't really understand.

Singed is an extremely unique and strong character. I only played Singed for my first five years of League. He tries to get chased by people, is good at getting away and mostly banks on other people being stupid. His character in Arcane is perfect. Especially since in his OG lore he is just the evil scientist who does evil things for the sake of being evil. But him producing weapons for Noxus is cannon since before the first lore rework.

It's obvious Season 2 was more plot driven than Season 1, where the latter was more character driven. It really helped move the plot along, and I understand they had to find a way to squeeze everything they could in those 9 episodes given how it takes years to make a single season, and everyone has to move on at some point. I'm glad how it turned out, and I can't wait to see more of this world with hopefully the same quality.

He also says things like "figure it out" when asked about the future of some characters. Everything on arcane was intentional, so let's see what they do 👀. (He also said they ARE going to rebuild/adapt the parts of the lore people are concerned about, but everything here IS canon)

Leaving a separate comment about League since you mentioned you wanted to try it - it's pretty difficult to get into. Different CC effects, Champion matchups, Masteries, CSing, Objectives, the controls, the plethora of items. It's a lot, and the games been out a long time so a lot of people are pretty sweaty. Despite what you may hear though, League is actually a pretty fun game - just one that requires some practice if you wanna be even halfway decent at it. If you choose to play the game, I absolutely recommend getting a friend to walk you through the basics.

my ONLY complaint is that i feel that the biggest and most compelling plotline of arcane so far has been with jinx, vi and Warwick(vander) and I feel like while trying to flesh out all the other plotlines that weren't as wrapped up until now like ekko and the black rose and jayce, the finale could've benefitted from an extra episode focusing on a proper conclusion to to Warwick jinx and vi. Didn't really like that they did so much in act 2 bringing vander back and building that up just to have him become the magic beast and die with jinx. still a great finale though I was just hoping for a slightly different direction with vi jinx and vander in ep 9.

I loved act 3 BUT i do have one problem with the writing I understand time was a constraint but Viktor's opening dialogue with Ambessa does not convey his:"I wanted to save Vander and humanity even if I become powerless" to" the doctor made me change my mind" arc seen in Act 2, but it rather comes across as"making them robots was always my intention". Which makes him always seem evil, which was not the story development the series presented specially siding with Ambessa when her warmorgering is precissely what caused the whole problem

If you watch jinx death scene slow motion there is very clearly a pink streak ,that looks like her shimmer powers, rushing away before the explosion goes off. And then they show Caitlyn realizing she could’ve made it out the ducts, AND they use her graphics as we watch the airship leave at the very end. She’s so definitely alive.

Warwick and Jinx are 100% still alive. However, I don't fully get what Jinx's goal in life is now. She wanted to die after Isha's death, but not anymore ? Heimerdinger is probably back to Bandle City (Yordle are magic beings that can't really die, and tp back to Bandle when they "die"), but I don't know how it works considering he was in an alternative universe. For Jayce and Viktor, hard to say right now.

Alt powder knows... in episode 7 we see that powder is a genius she knows the power of the hex stones which she keeps secretly but she doesn't use them because they caused vi's death (also why that timeline is uncorrupted) and she is happy with her life with ekko in Zaun. BUT SHES SMART enough to know what Ekko is doing and what power the stones hold... and she knows that she can never be with the Ekko from our timeline. We know this because she takes the necklace he gives her and puts it in the drawer named vi where she hides all of the stones... she had the stones the entire time and saw Ekko try to reconstruct them to use their power... SHE KNOWS, but she wants to keep it locked away because of her dead sister and to preserve her life in Zaun (shes smart enough to not stay in a bar). She keeps everything related to the other timeline and hextech in that drawer marked vi because she ALREADY MADE HER CHOICE even before Ekko from our timeline came to not get involved because it led to her sister's death.

Watching everything front to back, I really don't know how to feel about S2. I liked A LOT, I hated Vi in S1 because she was a concrete-head brute and Caitlyn because she was boring, both are much better, the clever references to S1 (Jinx sitting on Silco's desk exactly like she used to, Vi and Jinx shoulder to shoulder like the Firelight attack in Episode 9), the clever references within the season (Officer RedheadLesboTraitor being the first one to pounce her chest, foreshadowing her betrayal), the production quality is insane from the revamped intro to the much more and better fight scenes to the different art styles to the music and it did have a lot of emotionally impactful scenes, I almost cried more than in S1, like Jinx talking to Silco's chair about Isha and what she gave to her (even though Isha otherwise feels forced) or Jinx's almost-death at the hands of Vi. But as someone who knows zero lore outside Arcane S1, I became confused very quickly and the Series became a mess and a bit to out there with every passing episode. Especially regarding Vi and Jinx, like, it took a few boxing matches and now they don't want to kill each other again?! There's also some minor cringe like the "Jinxers" and Jinx's suicide scene, which could have been a lot more impactful hadn't they kind of mocked it, which I find inappropriate. I'm also missing Silco.
