summary notes for yall: Old one is better for boss-drops/sunkens since it boosts base rate of items that are not guarenteed New one is better for gear and charts(sea and land) as it boosts the amount of items you get thricefold, which increases your chance of getting e.g. a blasted power amulet... overall luck is more biased towards another aspect now rather than sunkens, pretty much

Luck was definitely nerfed, however Dark Sealed Chests are a horrible way to showcase this change. Dark Sea exclusive armor, exotic scrolls, and gems all are now 2-2.5x more common from these chests in this update. This essentially overwrites the luck potion nerf due to the flat increase of everything's chance.

this is the most balanced asset of comparison between the original and the update variant. Fishing between the two are significantly outed as the modern edition is practically useless with it, however it is thrice as potent with charts etc, which the original seems vile in comparison. Boss drops might be the only other comparison, and still the original holds a significant advantage with a guaranteed 100%. 'nerf' wise, it only gutted the chances you have with sunken items

@@omniscientlzx This is literally the only thing that isn't suited for luck potion testing. Fishing, boss drops, and normal chest drops all have the same base values as before the update. You can't compare two completely different loot pools and expect unbiased results.

@@omniscientlzx The issue he is talking about is that loot is easier to get from dark sealed chests now Exotic Scrolls used to be 8% and you could even get some useless loot from dark sealed chests, they are now 16%.

sunken with luck V is now 1/666 compared to the previous average of 1/200. Why? Because Sunken is 1/2000, luck V is 3 rolls, 2000/3 is 666, therefore 1/666 Doing the math here the most luck you could get with Luck V fishing (for sunken) is 1/1 pre empires and the worst chances you could get is 1/400 True because average between 1 and 400 is around 200 which is same as what I said before. Now imagine all your struggles getting sunken and then imagine 1 out of FRICKING 666 EVERY TIME TOO 😭 Before 1/400 was the worst you could get with Luck V sunken fishing, but now it’s 1/666 and always 1/666

Yeah the amount of scrolls is much lower but the armor loot is quite bountiful

according to some sources - yes, it's possible again, though personally I never tested it (the other guy was not affected by the pot during the new luck clip)
