I keep coming back to Arcane Odyssey because of the law. There's probably a lot of people like me not coming back to the game. I think the way Vetex is adding lore in small updates is a really good way for people to come back to the game.

Right now, he should focus on building the framework for full release. meaning he should be making a lot of different "foundation for x feature" rather than just making small changes and updates every month to keep the current player base happy.

The thing the game struggles from mainly is updates. Besides that the game is nearly flawless with a lot to do, good story, fun gameplay and once more open ended stuff gets added like dragon raids and building I can easily see it hit 8k+ concurrent players

i think it needs a better new player experience, like explaining the game to a new player is so fucking hard and so many people skip sidequests and get to the awakening part and quit cuz they need lvl 119 to continue, that along with the really hard bosses for new players and if they do get to that lvl? they now are a savant with a fucked up stat spread and shitty armour and no clue what to do (nor do they know what the dark sea is) although i can tell vetex has been trying to make new player experience better

true that is a really bad problem with the game luckily back when i started to ay i managed to figure stuff out and my experience was fun but for someone who just started playing the game doesn't give info to the new player in a good way

My experience as a new player was overall enjoyable. Played with my nephew and I loved how challenging the bosses were. It felt so satisfying to beat a boss after all that effort. We learned as we went along but the only real problem I had was stats. I wish I had a stat reset cause I used mines early on and didn't realize to get another one was rare ASF 💀

I recommend it to every roblox player I see. And the review I always get a week later is that it's not their style. They get stuck in Shura and quit. I think the reason why big onepiece games are big is largely due to mobile playability that ensures the current largest playerbase on roblox, gen alpha. Braindead repetition is to them an appealing factor because they have all the time in the world and the game designs are simple, they hardly struggle or die. AO is also an high-end game robloxwise, so not every laptop can support it without starting nuclear fusion in the cpu. These things limit the playerbase, but it is also something that can't be "fixed" because it would compromise quality. AO isn't something with public appeal, so to say. Updates and new features could draw in more players, but it will never be on par with one of those front page popular anime games despite its peak quality. We need to captivate the limited new players we get. And to so, I think the focus should be on early game content. There isn't enough end game content for end game players (the loyal playerbase), but its enough for new players to catch up to.

Getting picked now wouldn’t be great, I think after the next couple updates that should add more world building, optimisation, and replayability, it would be good. Right now, it would just get picked and then fall back off, because there isn’t enough replayability

With all the optimizations Vetex was able to make recently, I actually think it will be MUCH more playable, since actually a lot of people don't play it because their device was not able to handle it that well. This next update, is genuinely, huge. Optimizations, sandbox island creation, new dark sea content, a lot of new armors, new islands in nimbus sea, this is going to genuinely be a gigantic update again. Can't wait for it.

I think AO gets less players these days 'cause it's a story game. It doesn't try to suck up all your time like some MMO. Many players play it only for the main story, and that's completely fine. It doesn't _need_ to keep you engaged for months at a time between story updates.

This game in NO WAY needs monthly updates. Vetex shouldnt even be attempting that without another scripter. The reason why the rell bros and devs like them could do that is cause they had insane teams and workflows with other scripters to inplenent systems and changes

It's the fact that roblox is more so a kids platform, and so having a complex indepth game as such as AO, most new players will end up getting bored or overwhelmed by how much there is to do. In simple terms kids just dont have enough patience to experiece AO's full potential, as they need their hits of dopamine every 2 minutes which AO doesnt provide i guess 😭

It's kind of obvious why the game doesn't get as many players. The game has tedious controls, extremely difficult bosses, lack of game knowledge, unavoidable bugs, poor optimization, lack of replay ability, unavoidable low level killing, strange game design choices, duped in game items, tedious exploration, divided player base, constant wiping of items and infamy, unbalanced/broken abilities, ping/fps reliant combat, forces you to level up to progress the story but also forces you to fight a story boss while being under levelled, extremely tedious sailing your ship when its low on health and having no galleons, game developer Vetex has an ego and rants about pvpers even though he promotes you to do pvp by having a renown leader board system. I could go on more but this is already long enough. No promotion is saving this game, alot of people already know about it and choose not to play it because it's still an early release and people just don't want to play a game that's not finished.

Personally i just want some PvE replayability, then i would probably play alot more. Dark sea was a good concept but it doesn't feel very rewarding since there's not many unique items you can get there to benifit your character, other than for potions which a casual player is just not going to do.

i keep joining the game sometimes but it need a big update they should make a time and focus on the story. I have been playing since day 3 or something prob 1 because ik it form my friend he hyped it up a lot so i joined it's a good game but the items they are there but every system gets a bit boring after 6 hours after story mode there is always a total of 100 hours of gameplay more for some other players it depends if you are playing competive or fun

the problem with arcane odyssey is simple, replay ability, because the only thing you can do is grind and if you dont want to, you wont be able to do pvp, because of your trash gear. Replay ability is what the game needs, things like dungeons, major random events and things that are afected by your decisions.

The reason of the AO small player base is the hackers issue, a guy has calculled the blox fruits player base and has reached the conclusion that more than 60% are compossed of hackers, and if you analyse, most of big roblox games have problems with hackers, so the reason of the small AO player base its because thats an true player base

i believe arcane odyssey should make rare scrolls less accessible by creating randomly generated dongeon in the dark sea and once your done with them you get a rare scrolls (with a cooler animation than just opening a chest) this way rare scrolls hunt would be way more thriving and exciting

I stopped playing because of the terrible pvp. I got tired of fighting airstalling opponents and having to aim ranged abilities on a brawl styled class. This game would've been so much better if vetex hired developers with more specific skillsets to help him build the game. It'd be less buggy and have more polished mobility, pvp, and pve.

people say AO pvp is bad, but if you hop on blox gay it’s 10x worse, you don’t even need to touch grass in that game you just fly while spamming annoying combos and stun moves that you can’t even try to block and that’s after the grind which feels like watching the lowest tear foraging minion get you foraging level 60, not afking actually watching it “hypixel skyblock reference”

Dude compare arcane odyssey updates to other games and you can tell it isnt that bad, AO gets around 4-5 updates a year and they arnt even bad ones, bee swarm gets like 4 updates a year that only adds stickers and blox gay gets like 2 small updates a year. “I stoped playing bee and blox gay for a while”

the problem with arcane odyssey is not with being popular, the problem with it, is replayability. After the storyline or during the level lock there isnt much you can do, the only things you can do is fight cernyx, which you have probably fought before or is to weak for you, grind and grind isnt fun, and do pvp with your weak gear. Vetex needs to add more replayability so that the game can keep their new players.
