If you pay close attention, you can see a streak of pink shoot away just before Jinx’s bomb went off. Then after, we see Cait checking diagrams of the Hexgates, focusing on ventilation shafts built into the sides. Jinx is alive, and she’s probably on that airship in the ending. Remember, in the very first episode of the series, Powder pointed to an airship and said she was gonna ride one of those someday. Or maybe I’m just in denial.

You actually see Jinx and possibly Vander survive at the end, there are pink and yellowish(?) streaks seen leaving the explosion. Caitlyn finding vents in the shaft in the blueprints also hints at this. The airship sailing away also suggests Jinx wanted to leave to "break the cycle." Also good catch at the season focusing on Cait's eye!

My understanding of Ambessa's story and motivation is that she was raised her entire life to be a warlord, and she turned out to be better at it than anyone even expected. She won many battles and gathered great power and wealth. In terms of strategy, training, and physical might she became the pinnacle of human achievement... But against an experienced mage, she realistically stood no chance. If a group of mages like the Black Rose decided they didn't like her, they could destroy her family, her armies, and her legacy without her being able to stand up to them at all And that infuriated her. It wasn't FAIR Maybe a mage personally wronged her in some way early on, maybe they didn't. Either way, she has spent the last like 3 or 4 decades trying to get her hands on a weapon strong enough to become their equal. And one of the ways she did this was to seduce a mage and give birth to a child who would hopefully inherit his power. And it works! Except that the Black Rose realize what she's done and want to take the child away to train as one of their own, and Ambessa doesn't want that So she sends Mel away to Piltover and acts cold and uncaring for decades to throw the witches off her scent. The Black Rose start slowly taking away Ambessa's wealth and power every time she refuses to tell them the identity of the magical child, and eventually they capture Kino and threaten to kill him if Ambessa doesn't hand her other child over. But she still refuses, because Mel is the powerful, useful child, and Kino is just a nice guy in over his head. And then word reaches her that Jayce might be building Hextech weapons and here we are This might also explain Ambessa's smile at the end. Mel has finally both learned how to use her magic and learned to be ruthless enough to use it to kill her foes like mommy always wanted. Ambessa can now trust the future of the Medarda clan to her

The Black Rose isn't what ppl think it is! Especially ppl who've only watched Arcane and don't know about what the Black Rose really is! The Black Rose is one 3rd of the Triumvirate that rules Noxus but its also older than Noxus, its Co-founders,Leblanc (1100 years old) & Vladimir (Plus of 1200 years old) long before Noxus was Noxus the place was run & ruled by Mordekaiser. Mordekaiser is an undead mage with legions of undead with which he could invade the world with. The the Black Rose was created to watch for Mordekaiser's return and its also why they wanted Mel to join them! Ambessa wanted to supplant The Black Rose with House Medarda... tbh its the only thing that would make sense as to why the Blsck Rose would even bother with Ambessa!

What a day before Christmas! Regardless of Viktor seeing all the outcomes like Zilean did, For me Ekko was the catalyst The one that started the event and the one who ended it. Ekko was just a kid who lost everything, scrapped and fought his way back and created a safe haven for the people of Zaun. A kid who could've taken that 2nd chance in life in another timeline but decided to go back for his people. He truly is, The Boy Saviour. Man that was rollercoaster of a ride. I do think they could've stretched it out for season 3 but hey it costs time and money but what we got is worth it. Looking forward to seeing future installments with you guys. In canon lore, Noxus uses operatives called Warmasons, they're saboteur/architect/spy hybrids that basically go in YEARS before invasions to set the groundwork for upcoming invasion, learning the culture, setting up in-roads, plans for sabotage, scout the weakest points for attack. Once the Noxian army is at the gates, that's when things go wrong, commanders turn up dead, gates are mysteriously left unlocked etc etc. That's probably what Maddie is, and she's based on a recurring character that is also Draven friend/ on off again paramour and a Warmason herself from lore named Tamara who's actually in three Universe stories, but in her first she poses as a student and infiltrates the Academy trying to get their hands on the secrets of hextech before being uncovered and expelled from the city by Caitlyn and Vi, meaning the consequences of Arcane is something they'll be dealing with for years to come. Also it could be proof of a theory long in the making, that Swain's demon: Raum is the true master of the Black Rose, using "LeBlanc" the undying sorceress as a pseudonym to manipulate people. The "Black Rose Sorceress" meant to be LeBlanc as evidenced by Mel calling her the "Deceiver", which is her in-game champion title AND the Sorceress took something from Ambessa's mind while she was enchained, the main power of Swain is that he can steal all of your secrets, he is the third or fourth most knowledgeable person in this entire universe because of binding himself to Raum, but it's only because of the demon he bonded with which was likely, allowed for him to do so by the Rose at great personal risk as Swain executed LeBlanc alongside her parents, this is like the thrid time we've seen her "die". LeBlanc's signature magic is also typically depicted as yellow chains, but that's what they made Mel's look like, while the "Sorceress/LeBlanc's'" magic is Dark Red basically the same color as Swain's abilities in-game. Mel is almost certainly going to become the Faceless, the anonymous third ruler of Noxus alongside Swain and Darius, who literally never shows their face as she represents Guile, we thought it would be Katarina's father but Riot killed him in the Mageseeker comics in a pretty shitty way. Ambessa saw a vision when she faced death of herself on the Noxian throne, but it may have been a "Skywalker" prophecy and her child was meant to sit the "throne", (there is no singular ruler/throne anymore because Swain divided his power into three so his demon he's merged with won't run Noxus one day, he has contingency plans to kill himself if needed namely Katarina). The "three-eyed Raven" at the end (hehe a GoT reference, Swain's VA in LoL is literally Samwell Tarly's dad as well) is a sentry that Raum/Swain send out, to watch Mel throughout the story, Jinx even shot one raven in Season 1, leading us to believe it was watching her but the whole time Swain has been keeping his eye on Mel. She'll play a role in events to come and is probably going to be a champion in game next year. 19:47 That's Orianna, a champion in-game who never had links to Singed until Arcane confirmed him to be Corin Reveck, her father in-lore. The salamander creature whose mutation gave rise to Shimmer we saw from the young Viktor flashbacks was named "Rio", a portmanteu of the first part of "Ori's" name. Singed is shown as sympathetic in Arcane, but in League of Legends he is laughably evil to the point where he's just funny and he actually won, outplayed everyone and came out of this getting everything he wanted. Absolute madman, I'm not even upset he won Arcane. Also Riot is far too cowardly to kill Jinx, too much marketing power to do that, she's very much alive and will be leaving to go to Noxus or something. May even see her in the next show. Remember what fake Silco said to Jinx in prison before she attempted suicide, "walk away". She knows that Vi believing she's gone and moving on is the best outcome, the only outcome. She can't realistically co-exist with anyone after everything she's done. Season 1 was all about, "can you redeem a person who is a monster" and at the end when Jinx sits in the "Jinx chair" and fires on the Council, it seems the answer was no, so Season 2 is all about "well what comes next".

Victor was my favorite character in the show. He was a flawed Messiah character who the ends justified the means. It was only after he saw the results of his victory that he realized he had doomed humanity. His arc was great.

The makeshift “sword” he uses was actually one of the hands on the large clock tower that blew up, another reference to his time powers. Also can confirm, as someone who had a friend survive an unaliving attempt, the moment they realized they went far it was immediately “ I’m sorry” and the regret he felt was so strong, went to far to fast.

I was ugly crying and yelling profanities at my TV in front of my mom watching this episode until I watched other reactions and they noticed a moment where you can see a pink streak moving away from Vander before the explosion and then, when Caitlyn was looking through the schematics of the Hexgates, you can see where the air ducts were located and she realized that Jinx escaped through there. Then the dirigible at the end was a throwback to the very first episode in season one where Powder says "One day, I'm gonna ride in one of those things". Popular theory is that she's on the air ship heading towards Demacia to start over.

The level of detail in this show - in this _episode_ - is insane. We see that Maddie is the last one to handle the bomb before handing if off to the soldier, implying that she was the one to wedge the nail into the mechanism to stop it going off. And speaking of Maddie, though she says she "appreciated Cait's warmth" if you freeze-frame the moment she pulls the trigger, the screen goes black and white and Maddie has a _wicked_ grin on her face. Plus, there's about a half a dozen smaller side stories playing out in the background with all the faced soldiers between this episode and the previous one: Gert the Jinxer - was originally going to opt out of the fight but changed her mind at the last second and volunteered, only to die (which stings extra hard when you think about the life she could have had in the Good Ending Alternate Universe) Zaunite man - leaves his wife and child to volunteer for the war. I may be mistaken, but I believe he's the first one to try to throw a canister of The Gray, only to get arrowed before he can release. We later see his widow and child adding his name to the bowl in the end. Piano player - he initially doesn't seem like he's going to accomplish much (given the fear on his face in every scene he's in, even he doesn't think he's going to make it out of this), but he ends up taking over Loris' ballista and firing the shipping container into the egg. Had Victor actually been inside of it, that might have been the winning move. And those are just the ones I've noticed over countless rewatches and reaction videos, I'm sure there's even more.

This Season 2 is all about dualities. It puts a spin on the origins of each character by "breaking" them (or inspiring them) to go down a different path. I think it's a really cool way to embody all the themes that Season 1 had going on, but doing it in different character's shoes.

As has been mentioned. Few frames before the hex-grenade goes of with Vander you can see a purple streak flying into some vent hole. Which is the same streak you see when Jinx moves superspeed on shimmer. Then Cait look at the hexgate bluprints while holding a piece of Jinx’s grenade. Meaning they went to check the area and havent found a body and found just pieces of the device. Which is why Cait looks at the bluprints and sees a vent there and smiles. So that heavily implies Jinx got away. And then the whole Powder saying in first episode “one day I’ll fly in one of these” and then the last thing we see is the exact airship flying into distnance and a Jinx-like “the end” so yeah…. I do believe she survived

They give us enough information at the end to suggest Jinx survived to the end of the show. Caitlyn saw where Jinx could have escaped... and some of her expressions show how she knew it to be true and didn't tell Vi (because Jinx didn't want Vi to surrender her own life in searching for her)

a misconcecption is at the moment the device goes off, you see viktors body in the real world, damaged and nothing is inside it. The device/rune takes back time, so it reversed viktor to let jayce communicate to viktors past reasoning/person. After he sees his future self say all he did, he was able to break free from his transformation of glorious evolution... mentally and cooperate w/ jayce to unwind it.

When Ekko goes back a second or 2, he is the only one that isn't affected by the time loop. So, Jynx only tried to blow herself up once. And, from her perspective, she never pulled the pin at all, at that moment.

Her voice acting, her design, the depth of her character, from her sad backstory, the beloved Powder to the full blown maniac Jinx and all the shades of grey between. There are indications that Jinx did not die. If you go frame by frame right before the explosion, you see a streak away from Vander to the top. The last scene, you see an airship ending with Jinx scratches and if you remember season 1 episode 1 Powder said that one day she would ride an airship. Also, Kate was looking at the vents of the chamber I think to see if Jinx could have escaped out through the vents.

Yes, you were righ. Itg was Viktor in season 1 episode 2 that gave Jayce the hextec rune. He had tried with several different runes and only the one from episode 2 led to Ekko and Himerdinger solving the Z-drive (Ekko's time manipulator). That was why Viktor said that device couldn't exist, because he didn't know that it was derived in the other dimension off of the rune from Jayce. I think, this is all what others have said and what I derived (the rune thing being my guess).

Something very ironic is that Ambessa's entire thing is the wolf. Which has a lot of meaning in the league universe since the wolf is one half of the grim reaper. Those who worship the wolf die to the bitter end. However Ambessa actually dies somewhat peacefully in her daughters arms which seems more a lambs death than a wolf.

As the saying goes, "Karma is a b***h" and so was Maddie. But the confirmed deaths (from the game characters) are Ambessa, Viktor and Jayce I think. Confirmed by the Producer. Or at least these 3 are the only ones I remember. Not sure about Warwick (Vander), can't remember if he survived or not. Jinx survived, and Heimerdinger is basically immortal because he is a Yordle, though not sure if he died and revived in Bandle City, or if he was zapped into another dimension, but he will be back in another series with how the Producer phrased it.

just want to point out what i have seen said so many times but when jinx is blowing herself up and ekko keeps rewinding time, she switches to jumping only once ekko has entered the blast radius. shes not taking anyones life but her own in that moment......also a neat thing is when ekko and jinx dance in that alt universe it is shot with 4 frames per second because of 4 seconds being tied to ekkos character in the show/game

It has to do with Singed and his fucked up experiments. Warwick has been shown to have easily the best regenerative ability in the series. At this point the only thing that was gone was his humanity. When he gets back up he's nothing but a rabid beast lashing out. It is also very possible that even with that last explosion, he's still alive.

So Arcane ends with a double time paradox where Jayce only gets to create hextech because of Viktor's intervention and the only reason Viktor can save Jaycen is because he creates hextech. Jinx, the most unlikely heroine, but in Arcane everything was always grey and ambiguous and one's hero is another's villain so it makes perfect sense. The ending is carnage, but it's possible to argue that Jinx could still be alive, Viktor and Jayce unless they end up in another dimension or something similar seem dead and buried. Maddie, her betrayal didn't surprise me since episode 4 I was already suspecting her, although for the wrong reasons I was right and I wasn't surprised by what she did. Ambessa, apparently her motivation is that she's cornered because she chose a fight against a group of wizards much more powerful than her and one thing led to another, always looking for a way to balance things out. Ultimately being a wolf is useless against a wizard, only magic equals magic, even if it's in forms other than spells. For someone like Ambessa I don't think there's anything worse than helplessness and that's how she must feel in front of the Black Rose. Ambessa says that desperation is the door to oblivion but fails to recognize that she herself is desperate. Of the entire Ciatlyn police group of the secondary characters only the one who doesn't say a single word in the entire series survives, it's curious. Singed is the only one who can be considered an absolute winner, he managed to bring his daughter back to life even if it was as a robot and he didn't lose anyone he cared about in the process, although he did become one-eyed. Poor Jaycen, in the end his dream turned into the worst nightmare imaginable.

The League of Legends universe consists of four "dimensions": 1. Void; 2. Celestial; 3. Spirit Realm and 4. Physical in the form of the planet Runeterra, There are no infinity stones here. But different types of magic and Runes = Runeterra. In the very beginning there was only the Void and the Guardians, but then light appeared and reality emerged, which woke the Guardians up, taking away their sleep and ignorance of their own existence, which is why they are trying to destroy it in order to have peaceful peace again. In reality, death appeared/emerged through the spirit realm in the guise of the gray man/pale man, who later split into two aspects of death, the peaceful death of a lamb and the brutal death of a wolf. In the universe = Celestial Realm, the Twilight dragons like Aurelion Sol created stars around which planets were formed. And later, celestial beings and gods began to get involved in the manipulation of reality. The celestial gods created constellations that served as predictions and guidelines for people and, using the world runes, created the planet Runeterra in one of the regions. Apparently, they created Spirit Gods like Anivia, Ornn, Volibear,... who reshaped the surface of the planet as we know from the Frerjord legions. They pulled up part of the earth to create Mount Targon, which serves as the Gate to the Celestial Realm Targon Prime = "Universe". One of the Celestial Gods, for an unknown reason, later hid the world runes through the Runeters, which over time caused a magical radiation, thanks to which the planet became full of spirits, demons and later created magical beings; Celestial giants; Yordles = Heimerdinger,... from Bandle City, which is in the spiritual realm; Vastayashai'rei (Shapeshifting Spirit Race) + Humans = Vastaya ^ Spirit Race and Humans and then Animalistic Humanoid Races. Later, the Targions, with the help of the Celestials, created a star metal crown for Aurelion Sol, whom they enslaved and thus forced to listen to the commands of the Celestial Aspects to use their celestial fire to seal/destroy the Void rifts that the Watchers had created in attempts to penetrate reality and possibly destroy it. Over time, it is clear that various types of magic have appeared or originated on Runeterra: Celestial, Spiritual, Shadow, Runic, Elemental, Temporal, Necronic, Blood,... Runeterra is supposed to serve as a place where super powerful beings of Ascended Celestial Aspects = Celestial Demigods are to be created, for example, a person ascends to the top of Mount Targon and one of the Celestials chooses him as a suitable host. Or in Shurima, with the help of the Sun Disc, I reflect celestial magic into the chosen people to create the Ascended Shuriman golden god warriors, where some failed and were created Baccai = Ramus and others were Ascended Sunborn Nasus, Renekton,... And later their fragments were created after the battle in the Darkins void. All of this is intended to serve as a defensive shield against the Void and its watchers, who seek to destroy reality by creating rifts in the Void through which voidmakers and monsters can pass, devouring and destroying. Or by controlling and corrupting the minds and bodies of beings on Runeterra.

Oh, LeBlanc isn't dead (the witch). She's a master illusionist, Shes hundreds of years old despite not being immortal (it's a big question mark in Riot lore) and will certainly be a key figure in the Noxian series that is being teased with Mel on the ship on her way home.

one thing that is easy to miss, the rune that Jayce received, is the "acceleration" rune; the same rune that Ekko explained he used in episode 7 to make his z-drive time rewinder, and i think that is part of why "in all the timelines" this was the only one where Jayce was able to show Viktor what he needed to see but thats just my theory my top 5 characters from the series: Vander, Vi, Isha, Jinx, Ekko (runner ups include Loris and Steb, the 2 other enforcers from the strike team that werent the traitorous bitch Maddie) also, Wasteland is my favorite Arcane song; its the song playing when Jinx is burning everything and then tries to blow herself up. the lyics are so heartbreaking because they perfectly reflect how JInx feels: This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow I used to have strength, but I ran out of hope I know it's my fault that I'm here all alone This world is a wasteland Please let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go but later in the song, it gets a little hopeful: This world is a wasteland where nothing can grow If it weren't for you, I'd be here all alone I know in my heart this is where we belong This world is a wasteland Don't let me go, go, go, go, go, go, go Don't let me go the song goes from "please let me go" to "dont let me go" because even though Jinx felt like there was no reason to continue living, deep down she wanted one, and Ekko is the one who showed her there was a reason

As a (recovering) Caitlyn main, I wish there had been more Vi and Caitlyn interactions but I was satisfied with the conclusion of the show. Episode 9 probably beats out Episode 3, now that I've gone through the exposure therapy of seeing other people react to it. I don't recall anyone saying that they wouldn't want more Arcane, but I think the creators did a pretty darn good job with what they fit into Season 2. I've seen critiques such as Season 1 felt nice and character-driven while Season 2 felt plot-driven and perhaps a little rushed, and I am sympathetic to those opinions. But the show had to end somewhere, and we will get new characters (possibly some returning ones) and new lands to explore. My heart wants Targon, but it seems like they left breadcrumbs for Noxus with a side of Ionia and perhaps others. I hope Riot can bring us more of these longer-format stories. (I will buy a prestige Caitlyn skin if it will help!) There is a lot to let the mind digest, but it seems like you two really enjoyed Arcane! If you have questions after a time (like if the writers left an out for Jinx to have survived), hopefully the internet has you covered.

This series really shine as the best video game series out there that have so much emotion that cause all type of fans, gamers and non gamers to experience beautiful moments to deep down moments. 😭 Also by this series being over, we not to lose hope in the next series within the world of Arcane to branch in other locations in the world of LOL. There been some spectacle that we might branch out to the location with Mal and her section of the world of LOL within the moment to let us see the other champions to shine. I can guess on one being like Lyx. As in the game of “LOL: Wild Rift” she is champion that Jinx take in to form a squad. So maybe next series might shine with both Jinx and Lyx doing adventures. But it’s just my theory on it. So take it petty a grain of salt 😏

This is just an assumption, So I'm not saying that this is true but when the trailer for season 2 came out and it said this was the end, I personally think that they meant the ending for piltover and zaun and not the end of arcane. I think they are just going to move to the other regions of runetera like noxus, Sharima and so on. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

Riot Games lore devs has told with Arcane that from now if champion died in new canon lore they are just death. And about all champions which you are mention is totally wrong. Ruination Spirit of Helia and Camavor soldiers are stuck between life and death. Spirit Realm has many of his own "world" spirit places like Ionia's Spirit blossom death road, Bandle City, Modekaiser halls of bones,... Yone is part of demon and human soul and demons are able to interact with physical realm.

There is no arcane season 3 ,but there are few new series from lol world in making. From what we know they are making 3 series and ot shouldin't take as long as making arcane and it should be cheaper since they did some big time misstakes during the proces of making arcane. In the end nothing is known and anything can change tho.

Viktor and Jayce were never romantically involved in the original lore, alternate timelines, and this new Arcane Canon. Even in an interview with Necrit, Arcane co-creator Christian Ling didn't understand. How people didn't understand that men or women could just be best friends like brothers or sisters.
