And yeah, Ekko is probably gonna be pissed, rightfully so. But I'm not surprised Vi chooses hot rich sniper and luxury over being homeless and getting hunted down by Sevika.

Vi is a traitor to her own kind though. Vi hated them, her parents died fighting them, she stole from them, and was put in jail all those years because of them. Joining them makes no sense at all. Legit just got a girlfriend and switched sides, forgetting how badly they f*cked her over in the past. Jinx did nothing wrong, all is fair in war.

@@riatanina If all is fair in war than what Vi did was fair. Also no, Arcane shows that it’s not as simple as it seems. Why are Vi and Powder’s parents dead? Because they were trying to invade Piltover and the Enforcers have a duty to stop them. As for Jinx, she’s the embodiment of everything wrong in Zaun because she was groomed, abused and manipulated by Silco when she was at her most vulnerable. Shaped into his image and what he loved by making her worst attributes her strongest. And now she’s started a war just when peace was gonna be achieved which will costs the lives of countless, all for nothing but chaos that she hopes will fill a gap in her heart.

But you gotta remember: Piltover has oppressed Zaun for ages, done as they pleased, and gotten filthy rich while Zaun got worse and worse - and despite Zaun being a subsiduary of the overcity, they were only ever treated with suppressive fire. With Zaun's invasion coming from a tipping point, of fed-up, underfed and beaten down people. Vi and Powder's parents were just one of many regular civillians who desperately wanted a better future - or, to take revenge on those who profitted of their own suffering. They made the wrong choice for their children: whether the decision to fight back, was wrong, PERIOD - that remains to be seen.

The way I think of it, the only way she could ensure that her sister isn't killed by enforcers is if she was the one that caught her. She wouldn't give up on her sister but she wouldn't side with Zaun as Zaun is currently. Just my quick thoughts.

that normally is what happens in war, they are in opposing sides of the war, Jinx chooses to fight for Zaon and Vi chooses to fight for Piltover

Access to the Jinx-hunting task force, resources (the gauntlets she would need to take Jinx down - she has no chance without hextech, let's be real), a home ... plenty of reasons. She could probably live with Ekko, but he has nowhere near the resources and couldn't repair her gauntlets if they were damaged. Also, in one of the previews, Caitlyn says she'll shoot Jinx dead on sight. This is probably Vi's compromise so Cait agrees to try and take Jinx down alive.

She is an Enforcer ingame aswell so this is actually part of her lore. The Video "Warriors" from 2020 (iirc) shows her fighting a specific character so its not just to take down Jinx. So yeah, she is basically a cop ingame and Arcane shows how she ended up as one which is pretty nice

As long as she's on the anti-Jinx task force, she has a decent chance of taking down Jinx alive, whereas any other enforcers would just kill Jinx on sight. Pretty sure that's why, other than just not having any way to live in the undercity anymore. She has no home and Sevika would probably have her killed down there. It's either be Caitlyn's live-in girlfriend (oh no, hot lover and lap of luxury, the horror) or languish in poverty before dying violently. Her only other alternative is to go live with the firelights. I think Ekko has a right to be pissed at her, but not really anyone else.
