Prana-Tech.. I have this machine. I haven't welded with it that much yet but I agree it's a great welding machine. Arccaptain has great products.
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for the positive comment! Yes, it is a great machine, especially for the price! I don’t know if I mentioned it in the review, but if you turn the inductance up to 7-8 your welds get much cleaner and almost no spatter. It makes such nice mig welds!👍😊
@AXNJXN1 Жыл бұрын
Noooooot really a 'review' per se... Rather a simple 'unboxing' with a quick commentary on ONE process. That being said, glad you're happy with it. I love mine and I've actually used every single process with it, so I can certainly say from a more reflective and in-depth use context, it performs all functions quite well, to the reader seeking comments that really wonder about it's overall performance.

@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
I think you will like it. Turn the inductance up to about 3/4 or higher (the knob on the right of the panel) and it really reduces the spatter on the welds. I forgot to mention it in my review but maybe you can in yours.😊👍

Hi James, I haven’t done the video yet. I’m planning to do a video showing how to convert any of the Chinese Tig welders to American torches. I’ve had to collect parts and experiment with a few different methods but I have it all figured out now. 😁👍

great vid ! which welder is better this one or the hynade mta 200 pro
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
Hi Steven! Well that is a tough one! They are both great welders and very comparable with features. I would have to say that the ArcCaptain takes the prize though because it has a feature that the Hynade doesn’t. It has adjustable induction setting. This is a feature that I had never used until a few years ago and now I can’t live without it. If you turn the induction setting 3/4 of the way up, it takes 90% of the weld spatter away and makes your end product look so much nicer! Now when I have to weld with a welder that doesn’t have induction setting, it seems antiquated. Hope this helps! 👍😊

what is the max amps at 110v on the arccaptain mig 200 ? and on the hynade 200 pro ?
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
They are both about the same. On a 15amp breaker, they both will do about 120-125amps. On a 20amp breaker they will do about 135-140amps. 👍😊
@Joe_1971 Жыл бұрын
@PranaTech Is that at 110 or 220v? I have the same welder and have not used it yet, but will be come the spring when I start welding patch panels on my F150 frame. I will be using .035 flux core and would really prefer not having to run 220 out to my garage. If 220v is required how big of a breaker would I be looking at 30, 40 or 50amp?
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
Hi Joe! It will run on 110 or 220. It can only do about 130 amps though on 110v which is borderline for welding up patch panels on a frame. If you end up running a 220 outlet, a 30 amp circuit is all you will need and you will be able to use all the amps the welder is capable of. 😊👍

Thanks for the video. I'm new to the welding business and I'm looking into doing aluminum welding. Which current would be best to do aluminum, 110 or 220 and which spool gun is best for this machine?
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
Hi there! 220v would be the best for aluminum. Ok, so you will have to go with ArcCaptain’s own spool gun that fits this welder. I can’t find it on their site or Amazon, so I emailed them to see if they have one to sell. I’ll let you know what I find out. 😊👍

Ok, they got right back to me and said their spool gun is not out yet but will be for sale in May, so keep an eye out for it soon.😊👍

i ordered this welder but i did not receive a .035 drive roll for flux core only .030/.040, where can i buy .035 drive roll for this welder
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
Hi Steven! These are very common standard drive rollers from China. They are 10mm bore x 30mm outside diameter. Usually they are listed as knurled or K grooved. Here is a link to Amazon for one.www.amazon.com/Drive-Roll-Wire-Welder-K-Groove/dp/B08MWXP31V/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?crid=1C2JEG147FL7I&keywords=knurled+.9+10mm+mig+drive+wheel&qid=1690134937&sprefix=knurled+.9+10mm+mig+drive+wheel%2Caps%2C234&sr=8-6 Hope this helps!😊👍

The yeswelder doesn't have separate knobs for voltage and feed speed... you have to go thru the menu each time to adjust that manually IMHO a pain I think this welder is easier to use feature easier to get at
@PranaTech Жыл бұрын
I agree, but.. I’ve been using the Yeswelder for years now and run tons of wire through it and not once have I needed to adjust feed speed or voltage. It is a synergic welder so all I need to adjust is the amperage and the welder does the rest. Same for the ArcCaptain as well. 😁👍

How about a actual review if it mig welding? Wire feed is not mig. (you could always test the stick and tig also, but at least mig...)
@PranaTech9 ай бұрын
Good morning George! Great to hear from you! Mig is a general but commonly used term in the welding industry for wire feed welding with a shielding gas. It was the term I was taught when I began welding 38 years ago. It later was renamed to GMAW for wire feed welding with gas shielding. I still use the term MIG for this type of welding but if that terminology offends you, please feel free to use whatever terminology you prefer. Peace to you my friend! 😊👍
