6 years later, but thank you so much for uploading these. i've never used any 3d modeling programs before, and this one was recently made required by one of my professors who couldn't do a more piss poor job of explaining it. thanks again :)))

Many thanks. I downloaded the video but also the subtitle file that comes with it. A perfect guide to read over again if you are missing something.

Three axes: x, y & z. In all four viewports, two colors are used: red and green. How to set so the z-axis displays in blue? It is possible to make the mental translation (particularly front/side) to comprehend "right\left and up" vs "front\back and up". When I was in architecture school I did not realize why this was so hard for me, but watching this now two years later, it's obvious! Blue = up\down. Red = left ight. Green = front\back … life would be wonderful!

Can Rhino create models that will help with selling house extensions etc? I.e. can you get all the windows & correct renders in colour, or is it mainly in black/white greyish

Allow the Maya interface controls and you got me sold. This was the same problem with Blender until they got with the program and finally added the famous Maya controls. It's 2020 orbiting a scene is not complicated. Alias Wavefront had the Maya controls down since version 1.0. Rhino needs to allow other controls type such as Maya, 3D Max to move this app into 2020.

Great Video! I'm looking for a method of smoothing curve shapes, taken from a digitizing machine. Basically tracing a rough object making it fit for production. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Thank your for this tutorial. However I have a question, which is about how to change the measures of a primitive solid, like a box, for example. Say I have a 6x4x8 box and I want to change it to 6x4x5. Where do I find the box parameters to change it? So far I've been only able to change a box dimensions by delete it and remake it.

You can use SCALE1D to change a single dimension of an object. Looks like im 5 Months late

if you want to create a sheet metal model, smartunfold.com has a tool to flatten the model to get the 2D contour. Here is the sample video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hZmylZ9vh76YeZI
