Always great to hear from Israel Finkelstein! Thank you for sharing this

@51:23 I hadn't heard of any finds with writing on them before, but here there is, at least, a bit of writing, a shard with two proto-canaanite letters. Together with most other writing on papyrus, which decayed, this might help to explain how a powerful kingdom like Israel could still function.

☆• in my opine, this was an excellent lecture, presenting critical and analytical separation of the scientific; via careful archaeological excavations; to prove or not prove; both historical and or biblical references; ex: myth of solomons horse stables? (or sum say storerooms) in 10th century megiddo; actully belonging to jeroboam in the 8th century bc(e)?. ☆• the two-three "parallel" hebrew kingdoms vying with each other for political power> northern, samaria and judah?☆origins of anti-pig consumption probably emanat -ing from within the kingdom of judahs "competition" strategies with the more northern tribal rulership?☆●° and the theory~question; symbolism of the "last battle" between good and evil earthly forces (armageddon in greek?); being centered in megiddo (correct spelling?) may refer to an earlier? murder on the site, of king josiah by foreign agents, were presented clearly and honestly. ☆• well done.☆● paix il mondo. ♡○●
