Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles by award-winning singer-songwriter and actor Demi Lovato to tour her trippy modern farmhouse. With six bedrooms and seven bathrooms spread across 8,500 square feet, the spacious Studio City property provided the blank canvas that Lovato had always dreamed about. Imbuing her new home with life alongside Argyle Design founders Kat Bell and James Drew was a process that paralleled her own personal journey. Every inch of the space embodies her personality-and the sense of fluidity that continues to shape her identity.

Idk why we need to cater to these very clear mental health issues, rather than try to resolve them. It is not normal to hate yourself so much that you’re willing to change your entire identity, look and even body. Why do we need to bend reality for those that can’t even decide for themselves what their own reality is each week? Everyone can see that rather than trying to resolve her issues properly, Demi just reinvents herself for a quick escape after each breakdown or overdose, whether that’s through undergoing a random emo phase, am ultra feminine phase, becoming a UFO detective, or changing her genders back and fourth. It’s not healthy and it most certainly is not something to be normalised. She needs stability, not have her irrational whims catered to and validated by 14 year old TikTok warriors whose brains and sense of identity hasn’t even finished developing yet.

I love Demi and being an lovatic for many years and knowing what she went throughI'm not surprised by some of the actions she do, but I'm glad they're alive and happy and they live their lives the way they want to. So I'm not criticizing the fact that I have to call Demi they/them/she/her. If she's happy that way is her life so she do what she want. I'm happy if I see her smiling and feeling good so let's stop criticizing every single thing she does and leave them alone! I love that she takes risks with her decorating. She said that every room is special and normally I don’t like rooms that don’t flow into each other but in this case I felt like there was a vibe that was carried through the house. The colors were all different but there was a cohesive feel. I wish it would have been a little more lived in, not so cold but maybe she’s just super neat?

I’m so relieved by Demi’s home. I would have cried if it were white on white and hey more white everywhere which I’ve seen lately or worse varying shades of gray. I love color and Demi’s home is an original, unique delight. It fits her perfectly. I love that she supports up and coming artists. You should never get so stuffy that you are afraid to have fun pieces in your home that just make you feel happy…a leather pig, why not indeed. I thank her for sharing her fabulous home.

Fun and unique. She did what she wanted and I like that about this home. Lots of homeowners are trying to appeal to others or show off. Demi seems to have done whatever she wanted without trying to follow a specific esthetic or a designer. I wish more homes were personalized like that.
